I don't know what to do. I usually do, but this time... nothing. My mind is blank like an empty mirror. I can't even believe this has happened. Zatz... what has he become. I watch as the earth cracks and shakes. He shoots fire out of his breath. The sky darkens.
"Maya, we really need to do something." Chimi says.
"Maya! Any time now!" Rico yells.
"I... I don't know!" I yell.
Tears keep swelling in my eyes. Zatz can't be this monster. He can't destroy the world. I see the bats flying toward him. The rain starts coming. I watch as the rain and my tears both fall to the ground. I can't think.
Chimi shoots golden arrows at Zatz. Zatz's opens his mouth and eats them before spewing them out. The arrows were ignited in fire. Chimi and Rico dodge. I hear an explosion behind me.
"Maya snap out of it!" Chimi yells.
Rico helps me up. He looks at me.
"You can do this Maya. We beat Lord Mictlan. Zatz will be no problem." Rico smiles.
"I hope you're right." I take out my sword.
I can do this. I can. I might not be able to kill Zatz, but I can protect my people. I'm the Princess of Teca. It's my duty. I am the Little Eagle Warrior. I've fought against the gods. I've been beaten, hurt before. I can totally do this. I have to do this.
"Charge!" I yell.
