Northwest mom

When we lived at Northwest my mother unknowing to me had visited MD Anderson as a last resort to attempt to treat her colon cancer. Their diagnosis was terminal and told her she only had six months or less to live. I distinctly remember an argument of some sort with my mother in the living area next to the kitchen and her words still pain me to this day. She told me "I won't be around forever, and you don't even care." It was somewhat true, after all the years of abuse I didn't see her as my mother. There was also the set in my mind that there was no way that my mother could possibly die from this, never. She never told me that she only had the six month or less diagnosis so she knew she was going to pass soon and her own child couldn't care less.
