After the intense confrontation with the Yokai, you and Giselle make your way back to the hotel.

Once inside Giselle's room, the door closes with a soft click, isolating you both from the rest of the world. The tension that had built up throughout the night began to dissipate. Giselle turns to face you, her eyes reflecting a mix of admiration and deep affection.

"You were amazing out there, (Y/N)," she says softly, her voice filled with emotion. "You're my hero."

Before you can respond, she steps forward and wraps her arms around you, pulling you into a kiss. It's gentle at first but quickly deepens, filled with the pent-up emotions of the night.

As you pull away, Giselle looks up at you with a tender smile. "I should probably get some sleep," she murmurs. "But... can you stay? Just be here with me?"

Your heart swells at her request, a sense of protectiveness and affection for her stronger than ever. "Of course, I'll stay," you reply, your voice a low whisper.

Together, you both get ready for bed, the adrenaline of the night slowly fading into a tired calm. Slipping under the covers, Giselle snuggles close to you, her head resting against your chest. You wrap your arms around her, pulling her into a warm embrace.

The soft rhythm of her breathing soon becomes steady, a sign she has fallen asleep. You, however, remain awake a little longer, savoring the quiet moment. The feeling of Giselle in your arms, safe and sound, brings a sense of peace amidst the chaos of your mission.

Eventually, exhaustion catches up with you, and your eyes begin to drift shut. The last thing you remember before succumbing to sleep is the comforting warmth of her embrace and the steady beat of her heart against yours. The troubles of the world outside fade away, and for a moment, all is calm and serene in your shared sleep.

Chapter 21 - The Date

As the morning light filters through the curtains, casting a soft glow in the room, you and Giselle stir from the peaceful slumber of the night. The memories of the previous evening's dangers seem distant in the comfort of the hotel room.

Giselle shifts closer to you, her movements gentle and affectionate. She nestles her head against your chest, her eyes bright with a playful glint. With a mischievous smile, she looks up at you. "Are you upset we didn't... you know, go all the way last night?" she teases her voice light and teasing.

You can't help but chuckle at her question. Shaking your head, you meet her gaze. "I'm just glad you're safe," you reply, your voice soft but firm. "That's all that matters to me."

Giselle's smile broadens, her eyes reflecting the depth of her feelings. She leans in, closing the gap between you, and your lips meet in a soft, tender kiss.

As you pull back, you both linger in the closeness, enjoying the tranquility of the morning.

You and Giselle, having shared a quiet, intimate moment, begin to stir, ready to face the day ahead.

As you both get up from the bed, stretching and adjusting to the morning light, Giselle turns to you with a playful glint in her eye. "Don't forget, (Y/N)," she says with a teasing tone, "you owe me a date now."

You smile at her reminder, the events of the previous night still fresh in your mind. "Of course, I haven't forgotten," you assure her. "I promise we'll go on a date today."

Giselle's face lights up with delight at your response, her smile radiant. "I'm going to hold you to that," she says, her excitement evident.

Together, you both prepare for the day and once you are ready, you both head to the hotel's breakfast hall.
