It took me a couple of minutes to register that the man who I was just speaking to had left the ball into the backyard.

As I stood still in my tracks, frozen.

"Excuse me? Can I have another glass of wine?"

I gasped, as one of the guests snapped me out of my... daze.

This...

The party was so crowded that no one... had noticed the interaction.

Just like no one will notice if James Glass... disappears...

A shudder crossed my body, snapping me back to reality.

"W-Will get right away!" I nodded at the random guest, as I moved.

Making my way out of the ballroom from the back door.

And towards the yard where James Glass had left towards.

There's no way I can ever sleep knowing I knew a person's fate and didn't try to... save them.

I can't.

Let alone that he might be meeting with... Van Darco before he leaves.

Everything was possible.

And there was no way I can let this chance slip.

I picked up my pace, looking left and right as my surroundings grew darker with less and less lights present around this part of the yard.

Weird, why wasn't there any lights here?

By the time I'd been running for more than three minutes, it had become almost pitch black around me.

And yet I ran, pondering of whether I should I turn my flashlight on or I'd create unncessary attention–

I stumbled.

Over something.

And fell.

"Ouch!" Whining in pain, I shifted, blinking multiple times as I tried adjusting my vision around me under only the dim moonlight, fogged by a sieve of clouds.

Especially with so much bushes around.

Reaching to my phone, I turned on the flashlight on at this, realizing I had no other option to better see around–

And my eyes widened.

As my breath stuck in my throat.

And every single nerve in my body.

Underwent an absolute collapse.

It was a collapse I had not experienced in so, so long.

Not even when the Ellington titan had collapsed on me in the rooftop.

No this...

This was a similar collapse to the one I'd experienced back when my father died on me.

Because the scene before me.

Was pretty similar.

Two bodies laid next to each other.
