Chapter Forty-Nine || Stopping the Birdcage

Third Person POV

Sabo was finished fighting the Marine Admiral & was running side by side with Atami. Koala came by once & was scolding Sabo, Atami was laughing her ass

"You haven't changed at all Koala." she turned around & saw Atami, when she did she started to smile

"Atami-san!" she let go of Sabo & started to hug Atami, Atami hugged her back & Sabo started sulking

"Why do you treat her like that & me like this!?"

"You two are different."

"Great answer."

"Master!"

"Opal! Where have you been?"

"After that giant hit you off me I was going to chase after when I saw Ace, I helped him out a bit, he yelled at me & here we are now." Atami chuckles & Koala lets go of Atami

"Lets go shall we?"

"Yes!" the two left Koala & Sabo alone & started running towards the palace, the two noticed that a lot of people were running towards the palace since that was the only place where the birdcage couldn't touch, also that was where Doflamingo was

"So Opal, what's been happening before you came to Dressrosa?"

"Well Thatch has been really worried about you & couldn't stop pacing around."

"Anything else?"

"Hmm, nope. Other then me eating a seagull."

"Why?" she shrugs, that's when the two saw a old man & a little girl about to be crushed by a falling building

"Someone help us please!" Atami ran towards them & stopped the building while Opal picked them up & ran to a safe distance

"What's gonna happen to--" the little girl was cut off when the building fell on Atami, she gasped but then Atami had already gotten away

"You okay little girl?" she nodded rapidly, Atami wiped her tears away & smiled "Be tough girly, do it for Grandpa okay?"

"Okay, I'm Faith."

"Such a pretty name, I'm Atami. My friend here is Opal."

"I like your name."

"Thank you, now help grandpa to the palace." her & her grandfather start running away

"Your gonna make a great mother someday Master."

"I already am, I have three younger idiotic brothers." Opal chuckles

Atami POV

"Hey Robin!" we were at the palace & see Robin & some other people trying to stop the birdcage

"Atami-san, Opal-san!" she had her arms crossed & two big arms were pushing a big barrier

"What's going on?"

"We're trying to stop the birdcage."

"We'll help, but first let me try something." I move away from the barrier & pull out a coin, I flick the coin then point my index finger at the birdcage, as the railgun formed it was only cut into four pieces & exploded outside of the cage "That was bullshit!"

"Lets help them push now." I nodded

"Hey Bartolomeo, can the barrier dissolve if water touches it?"

"Nope, it can only disappear when I uncross my fingers oh great & mighty Atami-sama~~!!"

"Cool." Opal & I started pushing the barrier then two big arms made of water appeared & started to push it as well

"That is very handy Atami."

"What a fucking pun."

"I didn't mean it by that!"

"Sure you didn't."

"Atami!" I turn around & see Ace

"Get your ass over here & help!"

"I'm kinda busy..."

"GET OVER HERE!!"

"NO!'" he was going to run away but one of the arms of water grabbed him

"Help out you dick head!"

"Fine!" I dropped him & he started to help

"Y-Your doing this l-like its easy." the giant said

"It is. I've pushed & carried heavier things then this, & that was when I was a kid."

"Jeez your mental."

"Oh I know." that's when the birdcage stopped

"D-Did we do it?"

"You never know, don't let your guard down yet." after a couple seconds it started to move again

"W-We stopped it o-once... we can do it again!" two more arms of water appeared & started pushing the barrier & the birdcage barely moved, but that's when I heard footsteps of a lot of people, I turn around & see a sword above Robin's head

"Robin! behind you!" she turns around & sees the sword but didn't have enough time to move so I stop pushing & kick the guy who was going to kill her

"Who ws that?" then we heard crying

"Its the Gladiators, they're being controlled by Doflamingo!"

"I'll keep them busy, keep doing what your doing!" I dodge a hit & pull my sword out

"Don't kill them Atami! remember they're being controlled."

"Come on! I've killed a lot of people! why not now?!"

"Because they're innocent victims!"

"Innocent victims who tried to take my fruit..." I put my sword back & started kicking their ass, I kick one in the chest three times then did a back flip off him & onto someone's head. I kick off him & hardened my hand with Haki, I jump in the air then smash the ground, the gladiators who were around got crushed or fell unconscious

"She's really strong..."

"I know." I chuckle, but then I heard the engine of a chainsaw

"Oh... shit!"

"Ace-kun~~" he slowly turned around to see Darcy with a creepy smile on her face, she brought her chainsaw down only for me to stop her with my sword

"Why are you here?!"

"I heard about Atami-sama's Angel Fruit being here so if I won it & gave it to Ace-kun he'd fall in love with me~"

"No I wouldn't!" I kicked her in the stomach & she glared at me

"Round 2, yandere bitch."

Lazy ASS Time Skip Again

I take a deep breath as I watch the birdcage disappear. Luffy finally defeated Doflamingo & all the people he was controlling were released from his touch

"Ace! I--" I noticed he fell asleep, I shook my head & left with Opal

"What now?"

"We're not leaving yet, but lets help around." she nodded

"What about for injuries?"

"They'll heal."

"Still gonna bandage them!" I groan & she drags me away
