Chapter 20

Reagan's POV

3 months later (September 5)

"Come on! I have to show you something." I say running ahead, his hand in my hand.

"Okay, I'm coming." Louis whines trying to catch up to me.

I smile and go around to get to the willow tree in the meadow in my hometown, Leeds. My smile turns into a frown. The tree had been cut down, in its place was just a trunk. Nothing else. Louis puts his arm around me.

"My Mum used to take me here." I whisper.

"I'm sorry, Rae." He kisses my hair.

A tear falls from eye. I wipe it away and pull away. I grab his hand.

"Lets just go." I don't meet eye contact.

We start walking to the car.

"Do you want to go to the club?" Louis asks. "Just to get your mind off things."

I shake my head.

"No, but you can go. I won't mind. I would just like to be alone for awhile." I say.

"I don't want to go. I was just wondering if you wanted too."

I nod and he opens the passenger door for me. I get in and buckle.

We finally had a break from the tour. It was for 2 months, so me and Louis decided to meet each others families, even though he already pretty much knew mine already. We are in my hometown first and then 2 weeks from now we are going to be in Doncaster. I feel a poke in my shoulder, shaking me from my thoughts. I turn to face Louis.

"My Mum wanted to know if you wanted to know if you wanted to come earlier. So then we can spend 2 weeks in my home and 2 weeks after that here. Does that sound all right?" He asks.

"Yeah. When will we leave?" I ask, my voice quiet.

"Tomorrow." He says, turning off the car.

I nod and unbuckle.

"Okay."

I get out and walk into the house, with Louis at my heels. I open the front door and just walk up the stairs and down the hall. I'm not thinking straight so I take a left instead of a right. I walk into my Mum's office. I see the pictures of her and the rest of the family around the room. Tears spill over my cheeks. I run out of the room and into my room. I slip out the window, before Louis can catch up to me. I sit on the roof, staring at the stars. My Mum was up there somewhere. I wish she was here now.

"Reagan?" I hear Louis call.

I don't answer. I just lay back and stare at the sky, tears rushing down my face.

"I miss her too." I hear a voice say.

I jump and turn around. I see Drew climbing towards me. She lays next to me and doesn't look at me, just keeps her eyes trained on the sky above her.

"How did you know I was up here?" I ask.

"I watched you climb out your window. And of course I know where you would be when your upset, I'm your sister." She says the last part matter-a-factly.

I look at her.

"Your smarter than you come off to be." I state.

"A lot of people say that." She says.
