What college has taught me

College has taught me five things:

• how to cry quietly. I've learned to cry so quietly that my roommate won't see me sobbing in broad day light. You look down. Your hair covers your eyes. Swallow instead of gasping for air. She won't hear.

• that Gilgamesh had sex with a harlot for 6 days and 7 nights.

• how well you can function without sleep

• cheese sticks and bananas are nice

•earbuds are essential
