I was on edge the rest of the day. What did Reid mean I had a meeting?

I triple checked the calendar to make sure I hadn't missed anything, but there was nothing there.

"Hey, don't worry about it. I'm sure it's nothing." Hayden said. He could probably tell I was nervous.

I hope he was right. I haven't done anything wrong, so what is there to worry about?

--

About three hours later, the phone on my desk rang.

I stared at it, too scared to answer.

"Answer the phone, damn it!" Margret screamed from across the room.

I laughed, it was obviously her on the other line.

"What do you want, Marge?" She hated when I called her that.

"Fine, be that way." She joked before pretending to end the call.

"Wait!"

We both laughed, and Hayden started listening to our conversation.

"Strauss wants you in five." She stated. I felt my stomach drop.

"What? Why? Did she sound mad?" I asked frantically.

"Nah, I wouldn't say mad, just emotionless, like always."

"Alright, thanks." I sighed before hanging up the phone.

"Do I look okay?" I asked Hayden as I stood from my seat.

"Devyn, you always look good." He assured me.

"Thanks." I rolled my eyes and chuckled.

"Wish me luck!" I then walked away before he could reply.

The elevator doors opened as I stepped in and clicked floor nine. As it rose, I could feel myself growing more and more nervous.

The doors then opened, but I realized this was not my floor. A man then joined me.

"Agent Carter?" It was Aaron Hotchner. He seemed surprised to see me.

"What are you doing up here?" He must have thought I was getting off.

"Oh, I was actually on my way to a Strauss's office."

"That's funny, I'm headed there too. I actually already had one meeting with her this morning. We talked about you." He spoke.

"Me?" I nearly screamed. "Was it about the about the case?"

"Partially."

What could they possibly have said about me? I'm practically having a panic attack at this point, and he must have noticed.

"Don't worry about it, you aren't in trouble." He reassured me.

I kept going over the different scenarios in my head, and I hadn't even realized we were already at Strauss's door.

I took a deep breath and knocked.

"Come in!" She said.

"Oh good, you're both here."

We both shook her hand and sat down in the two chairs across from her.

My hands were sweating, last time I was in this situation, Anderson got fired. There's no way she'd be firing Agent Hotchner, but what did I do this time?

"Let's get started." Strauss began.

"Agent Hotchner, are you aware Agent Greenaway didn't show for her psychological evaluation that was supposed to take place this morning?"
