|Props to you if you're still reading my stuff up to this point!!! I can't believe y'all think it isn't boring, but yeah! ❤️❤️||

"Annie!" I called, stepping into the apartment. "Hello Marinette!" Her arms wrapped around me, "How did everything go?" Annie asked, letting me go. "It went okay I guess. The Bats found me, but didn't catch me!"

Pulling the chain out of my pocket, I handed it to her. "Thank you dear." She took the chain from me and placed it onto a nearby counter. "Do you not have a box?" "Remember I'm not a guardian, for these belong in another box that isn't yours. I will hold onto it though."

"Oh okay?"

It's kind of weird, but whatever. There are more important things to do. "Your next target is the Landman Museum, Faye, the Phoenix miraculous lies there. It's an anklet with 5 sun charms."

I nodded, that sounds really nice. Maybe I should make that into a clothing line. That would be a good idea! Let's pocket this thought for now though.

"The history is that people wore it in the winter to hopefully stay warm. They couldn't uncover anymore though, because there is only one. We as miraculous holders know these jewels are incredibly rare."

We spent some time to set up a plan that would work. It was pretty much the same as last time. Go in, steal, leave. The most important part was to not get caught.

"I'll do my best." "I know you will guardian." She gave me a warm smile as I left.

"Landman Museum." I pondered aloud. "Landman Museum?" A voice sounded beside me.

My head whipped to the direction, my fists prepared to throw a punch or two.

Damian was the one who was beside me. I dropped my guard and smiled. "Um yeah! Do you know where that is?" "Yes, I do. Why do you want to go?" He raised an eyebrow.

Don't panic.

"It just interested me." I shrugged, trying to play it off. He seemed to have bought it. "I can direct you." Damian stated. "That's perfect. Thank you."

We walked down the street. Then I slipped my hand into his. He tended up a bit before relaxing. I could feel a slight blush coating my face. "Do you have any friends or siblings?" I questioned, trying to start a conversation. "Sadly I do, and they're all incompetent." He rolled his eyes at the thought.

I prodded him to continue. "There was this one time where Todd wanted to see if he could toast bread on a candle, but staying there, dangling the bread was too much work. He made a contraption to hold it in the air, with Drake's help. Somehow our kitchen caught fire." Damian bluntly ended the story there.

I stifled a giggle.

"Todd is banned from the kitchen."

"That's crazy. My par-guardians own a bakery, so I have some experience in the kitchen. It's surprising that it never caught fire, since I'm madly clumsy."

Somehow I feel my mood lighten. Like everything is natural around him.

"We're here." He said after a few minutes. We faced a large building. Much like the ones we've seen. "Let's go in! C'mon!"

I dashed up the stone steps as he trailed behind, being as slow as possible. Like dude, I got some jewelry to steal.

Though this museum wasn't as big as the one in Paris, I had no idea where to start. "Do you know where the anklet with the suns on them are?"

Damian thought for a moment before taking me to where it was located. "Here, why are you interested in it?" "Umm, I'm very fond of uhh history?"

Little did I know, Damian was taking note of that in his mind.

"Wow look at it!"

The jewel was absolutely beautiful. Kinda makes me wonder why I only got earrings. No offense Tikki.

My eyes wandered up to the ceiling, looking for fire escapes and a good place to come in.

"Is this all you came here to look at?" Damian asked, snapping me out of my mental plan. "I guess, but let's look around while we're here"

All the objects were very pretty, but the best part was the food court. They had an ice cream stand, so I obviously had to convince Damian to go with me.

I leaped into his back, he did even flinch. "Let's go get ice creaaaammmm." Dragging out the vowel in an annoying voice. "Ok."

He had insisted on paying so I let him, but slipped a few dollars into his pocket. Swirling my tongue along the rim of the cone, there was now a little tower. I plunged my tongue down the middle trying to create a hole. "What are you doing?" Damian questioned, giving me weird looks.

"Try it!" I say, he just shakes his head making me giggle.

"I should get going, let me drop you off at your hotel first though." "Oh umm thanks."

Damian flagged down a taxi, and the driver looked intimidated of him for some reason. "W-We're here sir." The driver stuttered. "Wait here, I'll walk her in." He opened the door for me, in which I thanked him.

"I enjoyed spending time with you!" I cheered, hugging him. A small smile tugged at the corner of his lips, but he kept a stoic expression. "Likewise Marinette."

"Oh Marinette!" Lila called, talk about bad timing. I tore away from Damian. "What do you want?"

It's surprising how quickly my voice changed. It went from warm to cold, even I could hear the difference. "I just wanted to meet your friend here." Lila twirled her sausage like hair around a finger.

"You've met. Now leave." I demanded, this girl was getting on my last nerve. "Silly! No we haven't! It's okay to make mistakes Marinette." Lila did an overdramatic giggle, trying to sound cute.

"I'm looking at a mistake." Grumbling under my breath so she didn't hear me. Apparently, Damian did and I saw another smile almost grace his lips. Now unfortunately, Lila hear too. She shot me a glare, that told me to 'shut up.'

She winked and said, "anyways what do you think about dinner sometime tonight?" He raised an eyebrow and decided on a quick answer. " I'm busy," and left through the glass double doors.

"He totally likes me!" She squealed, running to Alya who was talking to Rose in the corner.

Taking a seat on my hotel room bed, I let Tikki out. "Wow, you were really well hidden today." "You ate that ice cream and didn't give me any." The red kwamii pouted. "I'm sorry I'll make it up to you!"

The moon would be up soon, and Ladymare will soon be out.
