||Hiiiiiiiiiii! How's life? Also what is on y'alls Christmas lists this year? I wanna know!||

The morning rays hit her face. The shining sun through the window made it possible to see the tiny dust particles floating around.

Marinette groaned at her awakening. She sat up, looked around and saw the chain, lying on a side table. "I got the penguin miraculous last night! Two more to go!" The morning rasp in her throat made her cough. Deciding to take a shower, since last night she didn't get a chance to. The warm water hit her back as thoughts floated around.

"I'm free from my parents for another 3 weeks and a half." She muttered to herself as her eyes laid on the scars upon her body. The red marks that were turning purple haunted her.

Shutting the shower off, she stepped out. Marinette slipped on her outfit for the day and called Tikki, telling the kwamii she was ready to go.

"MARINETTE!" Alya exploded as soon as she shut her hotel room door. "I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST NIGHT!" "Oh? Please enlighten me." Marinette deadpanned with a raised eyebrow. "You were planning on where you would hurt Lila next! She said she heard you!" Alya pointed her index finger at the bluenette.

Marinette was about to throw hands. She was literally stealing from a museum last night!

"I can't even anymore." Marinette just strolled right passed her.

The buzzing of her phone made her take a peek. It was Damian. It read 'Hello Marinette, would you be available to meet up?'

She ignored the flutter in her heart and responded with "Kk! Just tell me when'

*With Damian*

"What is a Kk?" He wondered aloud. "It means okay." Dick answered as he passed.

"Oh okay, wait. Why are you in my room?" "I wanted to hand out with my little brother. Is that so wrong?" "This little brother can kill you with a katana Grayson, and I'm going somewhere today." Damian rolled his eyes and continued to think about where he could take Marinette. Just as friends he reminded himself.

*Back to Mari*

The class piled onto the bus that picks them up everyday and Mariette took her usual seat in the back. Looking forward to hanging out with Damian later on that day.

She rested her head on the glass window that kept shaking on the road. The engine of the bus cut off when they arrived at the Wayne mall. It was 3 floors of stores all in one place.

Everyone got off the bus, everyone was talking about the mall and what they were going to buy. "Class! I have you're groups and place go to your chaperone for this tour."

Just Marinette's luck, she was put into a group with Alya and Lila. And to top it all off...you won't believe who they got as a chaperone.

That's right

Jason Todd.

"Hi, I don't really want to be here right now so just stay together and don't let any parents sue me!" He said before following the Alya and Lila into the mall.

There was an awkward tension between Jason and Marinette. "Hey Marinette." Jason tried to start up a conversation. "What?" "Nothing." he sighed, defeated at her tone of voice.

The first stop was bath and body works. (Bc why not?) "Lila! We should get matching scents!" Alya suggested, eyes scanning through all the cylinder bottles. "Yeah!"

Marinette just lazily picked up bottles, smelled them, then set them down. "Out of the oven cookies?" She read one of the labels before using the try me one. It was actually pretty similar, much to her surprise. Picking up one of the scent strips, Marinette sprayed it before giving it to Tikki.

After that store, with Jason still trailing behind the girls, they crossed a fabric shop that Marinette just had to visit.

Without warning, Mari went into the store and broswed the many racks of colored fabrics. She hadn't gotten the chance to sew yet, so the girl decided to make a giraffe themed handkerchief for Annie.

Her mind mentally judged the fabrics based on color. In the end there were yellow and brown fabric in her bag, and some other sewing supplies like needle and thread.

Through a clear window Mari could see Alya and Lila moving clothes in Forever 21, and a bored Jason standing there. She chuckled at his expression before heading in to catch up.

"When did ou get those?" He asked. "You didn't even notice I was gone. Just like when we were kids right?" She scoffed, Mari could tell it hit hard to home, but honestly didn't care. It was partly his fault that she was in the situation she was in today.

Seconds later the alarm sounded. "What is that?" Marinette covered her ears and tried to scream over the blaring sound.
