Utmost Determination

In spite of the mistreatment
That I experience with people,
Through every single moment
Where my trust in them crumbles.

I tread on, get on with my day,
With a megawatt smile on my face;
For these people do not own me;
The joys that they can give are merely wants, not needs.

And my happiness is in the Lord;
I uphold the truth of His pristine Word;
I place my hope in His loving grace, His promises,
Which fills me with genuine bliss.

That no matter what I face in this mess of a world,
I will not cower or quiver but move forward;
With utmost determination to succeed
In my endeavors with the help of the Almighty.
