My True Solace
When my faith in the Lord is firm,
I know that I cannot be deterred
By even the heaviest of burdens;
For I am steadfast in my conviction
That the Lord Almighty God
Will be there to guide me
When the road ahead is rough;
Is there a reason for me to worry?
Is there a reason for me to fret?
He is just a prayer away;
He is my fortress and strength;
His power I witness in my moments of pain,
When I yearn for a sign,
When I yearn for hope,
I find my true home
In His arms; my true solace
In His loving presence.
