Julius's POV

"Julius is here! "

I heard a familiar voice announce as we walked into the house after the door was opened by one of the maids.

I kept my eyes trained on Vera as I noticed she visibly tensed seeing everyone.
I placed my hand on the small of her back keeping her close to me.

We walked further in and mum was the first to come give me a hug.

"How are you sweetheart? "

"I'm good mum"

"Of course you're good.
When Vera is with you

Vera smiled sweetly at mum but I could still see the nervousness on her face

I looked to the source of the voices to see my two aunts walking over to us along with grandma

She looked to Vera who was talking with mum and the rest of my aunts

Vera's dove eyes stared at us like she was begging nonna to say something and relieve her of her fear

Granny took Vera to sit down and all the while they talked she kept staring at me with a smile that brightened her face.

I looked to see Uzziah beside me.

Uzziah wasn't your typical guy.
