"Stars and Waves"

[ Image above is not of my own design, but it is one of the only few things I could pull up for a reference for a good, reasonable space ship ]

Pvt. James Ramirez
December 18th, Earth Time, 2055
October 19th, Terra Time, 1097
New Roanoke Space Port

"Back and forth, back and forth, Geez we don't get a break, don't we?" Ramirez muttered, riding inside with his team in a JLTV. These things finally arrived and is significantly more comfortable than any of the HMMVs or LATV4s. Foley had returned and he was driving the thing. Dunn was tapping the seat and humming a tune, "Yep."

Behind them, was a convoy, a massive convoy of vehicles. It was still pretty early in the morning, but this convoy had to move quickly.

The Convoy of JLTVs and Trucks were coming from New Roanoke and was heading towards the Space Port.

Earlier, Foley had them all come to the barracks to quickly pack up their stuff, when Ramirez asked why, all he got was, "Folks, we're playing the Welcome Party." He proclaimed, Ramirez's eyes widened.

"... no way" he muttered, "We're heading home?"

That same question was answered as a United States Space Force craft was waiting at the Space Port/Uplink. He looked back at all the vehicles, and tried to see all the people in them. Texas was driving the JLTV behind them, who seemed indifferent, but looked pleasantly surprised at the electronic screens that lined the top bit of the dashboard.

Exusiai was in the passenger seat, arms behind her. She seemed to be napping.

"Big ol' group of people coming with us," Carmen muttered, looking back from her seat in the JLTV. She turns around and looks at Foley, "So what's the occasion?"

Foley turned to her, "Ms. Swire of the Lungmen Guard Department has just been given clearance to head to Earth, I'm pretty sure you know that Dunn." The aforementioned corporal just chuckled, "Yes indeed sir."

"Good," he stops, as a convoy of Challenger III 'Dark Lancers' pass by in front of them. The British Army is apparently preparing for some operations near the Ursus Border, and they need some heavy firepower to get it done.

He didn't know, but the amount of heavy firepower was real suspicious in Ramirez's opinion. Dunn groaned as he adjusted his suit, "Do we have to wear these damn space force Uniforms? They're so scratchy and large dude!"

"We're going have to, its the only way we can actually go on that damn ship without suffering too many G-Forces," Foley idly commented, the convoy of Challengers passing, the Military Police Officer handling traffic going to direct them forward down the road.

Lana squirmed a little in his arm, causing him to turn to her and shush, "Hey bubba, hey hey..." he head rubbed her and reached for his bag, "What do you need?" With a simple gesture of her two fingers pointing at each other near her neck, he understood, going to grab a container.

"Alright, guess you're hungry," he gets some food, which was some mashed potatoes and some bread mixed in. It was weird, yes, but it was something she could safely eat.

Carmen just shook her head, amused, while Jonathan and Dunn began to argue over the Coast Arguments again. She then stared back at Exusiai and then at Ramirez. And then at Lana who was happily being fed. How the hell is my own brother handling this situation?

Texas was still driving patiently, Exusiai beside her sighing peacefully. Her Vector softly rested against her chest. Croissant, Sora, and Bison was asleep. Sora's headphones played out one of her famous songs, the girl softly snoring.
