The USS New Essex has been launched, we are waiting for its smaller, escort fleet to be put together.

- Brigadier General Ursula

Brilliant.

- Joint Chiefs of Staff

Excellent.

Whoever suggested we give the Marine Corps Cargo Ship designs as 'Modular' ships, absolute genius move on them.

- Secretary of Defense

Some guys in the navy have some choice words about that.

- Undersecretary of the Navy

You all seriously named the ship after your base down there?

- Commandant of the Marine Corps

Topic: International Cooperation on Project 'Lightning'

Electromagnetic Plasma rifles are still something we are looking forward to. They are not entering standard production cycles, but the Japanese are predicting that we can get these things over to our folks on Terra.

Test runs with marines in Washington and DELTA are showing that these things are very close to production phase I, but we just need to ensure that we can find a good way to ensure a supply of coolant and coolant equipment.

We've essentially miniaturized much of what was on the Navy's Railgun, but also took in as much as we can from Shirudo Systems, Hacksmith Industries, and Benjamin Marshall Experimental.

Plasma integration is being assisted by several energy companies.

We should expect these weapons to enter mass production in mid-January, but adoption into Service will be much tougher because of requirements and training.

- Lead Developer of Project 'Lightning'

To any of the army guys monitoring this channel, don't expect them to be deployed to Terra immediately. We'll probably do it when DELTA comes around.

- Assistant Head Researcher of Project 'Lightning'

Armor Panel tests - DARTs report

It still baffles us, but whatever that Arts attack is was able to make Depleted Uranium armor into something like a crumbly cookie, and turn the armored panels on the inside's composite arrays into molten metal, to put it bluntly. This implies acid and corrosive properties to an extreme level.

However, when the same attack was used in a heavy shield used by Rhodes Island, it was near shrugged off, with the hit area weakening and a few cracks.

We've also been doing research into the Terran Biology, and at the moment, an average Terran is 2 to 3.5 times stronger than an Average human. Something that Ms. Ash and Mr. Mozzie found out when they were training with the Lungmen Guard Department.

Ash has experienced great concern when she learned of this information, and she personally advised that we start working with extreme concern and elevated caution in further operations on Terra.

Requesting that Terran armor panels be manufactured and bought by New Roanoke and deployed on a platoon of M1A2E2s with these panels placed into the composite array for a field test. These tests we are doing can only do so much due to the environment they are in.
