Unconditional fucking love. No boundaries, limitations - complete love to be short. The sense of uncertainty or worry dissipated. I wasn't walking around on eggshells, questioning and placateing her every goddamn day. It was a free world. Warm and safe in a comfortable emotional space. I held Suriah like the delicate yet poisonous flower she was. Our love was tied by strings of blood. I was hers just as much as she was mine and nothing would change that, I'd make sure of it.

And with that, each passing day my fondness grew around Suriah like the vines around a building. I relived a familiar euphoric thrill Suriah brought to me on the daily, as strong as any drug - maybe stronger. The effects of every drug had their 'perks', Suriah in this case, was the hungry need for more. Suriah, my ecstasy. She had me on the edge of a cliff, ready to risk it all for a tiny piece of her.

"Kieran?" Suriah ducked her head in order to view me better, "You okay?".

"I'm fine," I replied, a smirk treading my lips.

She let out an entertained giggle, "You were gone for a second there,".

"Everyone gets lost in thought sometimes,".

She intertwined our hands as we crossed the road, "And what had you lost this time?".

I hummed, pretending to look at my thoughts, "I'm just...elated,".

Her head lifted and our eyes met, "You and your fancy words," She leaned closer, "It's kinda cute,".

"You think so?" I scoffed.

"I know so," She confidently answered, her smile brightened and put me in the state where I was unable to tear my eyes away, "But, for real, what were you thinking about?".

She directed her attention to the sidewalk in front of us, as well as the many authentic, privately owned shops. Although her eyes were elsewhere, I had mine on her. Watching as her hair swayed in the wind with each step she took. It's shorter than I thought. Stopping right at her mid back, topped with her signature bangs. Her nose blushed pink from the breeze of cool air. And those chocolate eyes, wondrous eyes sparkled - never losing their spark. My smile twitched. I should be the only one who can look at her. She's meant for my eyes only.
My gaze traveled upwards, searching for any eyes on Suriah. There were a few glances, but never anything genuine. It reassured my flickering heart.

"Noor?!" A voice called from behind us.

Suriah stopped in the middle of the sidewalk - pausing our walk to the company building - and found my confused eyes before we both turned around to see who the fuck called her. I watched Suriah's curious eyes widen and the color in her skin wash away. My head turned before my eyes, finding an unfortunate set of people. Oh great.

My eyes narrowed in on them. My god, my head already hurts looking at them. Once upon a time, Suriah worked at my club. There, she found two people she ended up bonding extremely close with; Camile, her roommate, and Meek, her childish crush. I could care less about who the fuck they were, until now when they stood in front us us with their eyes bugging out of their head. Especially when Suriah vanished from thin air and never spoke to them again. It was a bit awkward.

Camile approached Suriah at concerning speed. I squeezed tighter around Suriah's hand, pulling her closer to me. Camile's breathless eyes wandered over Suriah in such disbelief. Her arms held Suriah by the side and before anyone could react, Camile pulled her into her arms. Suriah gasped lightly, gripping firmer onto my hand.
