Do you know how long it took that motherfucker to propose?

Two fucking years.

Do you know how long it took me to plan the wedding?

Three months.

In all fairness, he did buy us a house that took over a year to renovate because he wanted it to be perfect. He said he wanted it to be perfect for me but it seems he forgot it was for us.

Of course Tiana helped him but the second he said there was no money limit, she went all out on finding a collection of houses that couldn't even be classed as houses, some were big enough to be hospitals.

It was ridiculous.

He thought he was so subtle.

He didn't tell me he was actually going to buy one, he wanted it to be a surprise or something so instead he'd put house makeover shows on and 'subtly' ask questions about what I wanted. Which seemed to have helped him because now we live in a seven bedroom farmhouse with acres of land and only a fifteen minute drive to the station.

After we moved in it took him another year to propose, which is something I didn't even know I wanted. I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him but having a piece of paper to clarify that just felt stupid. I didn't need a document to prove that I wanted nobody else but when I saw the words on the scrabble board, all I could feel was excitement.

It wasn't traditional, he spelt out the words on the board and just sat on the sofa with a beer and gestures to the board and then threw me the ring box.

Now I'm stood in a bright red wedding dress with the guys waiting eagerly outside.

When it came to picking groomsmen, bridesmaids and who would walk me down the isle, we bickered a lot.

That's the downside to having the exact same friend group but eventually we decided that Eli, Turner and Spencer would be his groomsmen. Eli being his best man.

Which means that Tiana, Ivan and were my bridesmaids. Well, Ivan is also walking me down the isle with Stewart and I wouldn't have it any other way.

"Mount. There's some people here for you." Tiana says, opening the door and in walk Aida in her flower girl dress.

It's red at the top, like my dress and it poofs out at the bottom into a white net with rose petals sewn in to the bottom.

"Mama!" Aida yells, launching herself at me. "You look so pretty mama!" She squeals.

God, she's grown so much. She's four now.

Four.

My baby girl is in school and god did time fly by.
