CHAPTER 14: STILL IN LOVE WITH HER

Eve was in the classroom, talking and laughing with Liam, when suddenly she felt a push from behind. She stumbled forward, and Liam caught her before she could fall.

"Are you okay?" he asked, concern in his eyes.

Eve nodded, her heart beating fast. "I'm fine," she said, trying to play it off. But she couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed.

"What is this about?" Liam yelled, his voice full of anger.

"What are you doing with my boyfriend?" Snow demanded, her face red with fury.

"I was just telling him about the project we're working on," Eve stammered, feeling her heart pounding in her chest.

"And you're laughing at him?, How dare you!"

Eve felt her face burning with embarrassment. She had no idea how to respond. Snow was clearly on a warpath, and she didn't know how to stop her.

"Snow, stop," Liam said, his voice firm.

But Snow wasn't about to back down. "Oh, Liam, don't tell me to stop, This girl and her family are nothing but gold diggers. I need to protect you from her!"

Eve felt like she had been punched in the gut. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. Snow was her friend.

"That's enough, Snow,It was my sister who hurt your brother, not me And it's their problem, not ours. We're friends, and this shouldn't come between us."

Snow's laugh was like nails on a chalkboard. "You think I could be friends with you after what your sister did to my brother?, I'm done being friends with you, and I'm going to continue to bully you in this school because I hate the sight of you." With that, she stormed off.

Eve felt her heart breaking. She couldn't believe what had just happened.

"Are you okay?" Liam asked

Eve bit her lip, trying to hold back the tears. "You should go after her, I don't want you to get caught up in this."

Liam hesitated, but he knew Eve was right. He had to go after Snow and try to talk some sense into her. "I'll be back," he said, giving her a quick hug before heading off after Snow.......

DENZEL P.O.V.
"So she's already set a date, huh?" Harrison said, his eyes wide.

I nodded, my head spinning. "I don't know what to do,"

"Then you have to marry her, There's no other way out of this."

I shook my head. "I don't want to marry Ivy,I don't even like her."

Harrison looked at me, his eyes full of concern. "Then what are you going to do?"

Just then, the door to my office opened, and Amelia entered. I couldn't take my eyes off her as she set a file on my desk.

"Here are the documents you asked for," she said

"You can go,"

Amelia nodded and  leave.

"So that was your ex?" Harrison asked, his eyes widening.

"Yes," I said, feeling a knot in my stomach.

"Wait, is that the reason you're refusing to marry Ivy?"

"No, It's not about that. I just don't want to get married, period."

Harrison looked at me skeptically. "Come on, Denzel,Don't give me that. Are you still in love with her?"

I let out a deep breath. "I don't know, I just...I don't know."

I could see the confusion on Harrison's face. He didn't know what to say. He was probably as lost as I was.

"Hold on, Denzel, Are you saying you still have feelings for Amelia?"

I let out a long sigh. I didn't know how to answer that question. I didn't know what I was feeling. "I don't know,I just don't know what I want anymore."

"Just answer me with a yes or no, Do you still have feelings for her?"

I hesitated, but then I decided to be honest. "I think I am still in love with her," I said, my voice barely above a whisper..........
