Cira's POV
It's almost been three weeks and I'm still here. But I have a plan for today.
I've kept the bullet under my blanket, it's silver so just poking it burns
When Sean comes to get me for his daily 'let's see if we can get Cira to talk' session, I'll take it with.
And when he isn't paying attention I'll shove it up his nose or something.
And then I'll run. I'll run down the halls, I'll look for a window or a set of stairs, anything really.
All I know is I won't survive being here much longer, I have to get out.
"Knock knock." Sean said, opening the door.
I had pulled my sleeve over my hand and picked the bullet up, closing my hand around it.
"Let's go." He said, grabbing my arm.
I stood up and allowed him to drag me down the halls, back to the room.
When we got to the door he let go of my arm to unlock it.
I quickly swung my arm around, forcing the bullet into his eye.
He screamed in pain, grabbing at his eye as I turned and took off down the hall.

I ran faster than I ever had before, past the doors, through the halls.
My heart was pounding in my chest, my breaths were getting shorter and shorter as I tried to get farther away from the footsteps I heard in the distance, coming towards me.

I reached the end of a hall, stopping and looking around.
I could turn either right or left.
I took a deep breath and turned right, listening for the sounds of footsteps.

I got to the end of this hall and smiled.
There was an open door and in there was a window.
It was small, but so am I.
I quickly went in and shut the door.
I opened the window and stuck my head out, looking for signs of anyone out there.
It was dark, but I couldn't hear any one.
I jumped and pulled myself through, closing the window and running to the woods.

I ran for about an hour before stopping and leaning against a tree.
Jason. I sent through our link as I tried to catch my breath. I'm out.

I froze as I heard footsteps coming towards me.
I went behind the tree and saw four guys walking through the woods.
"She's gotta be here somewhere. She crossed our border not too long ago." One of them said.
"I'm here." I said, stepping out from behind the tree.
"Holy shit." One of the muttered as they all jumped. "Are you okay?"
"I need Jason." I said quietly.
"We'll get you to him." One of the guys said, walking over to me.
I took a step towards him when everything started to get blurry.
"We'll get you help." Was all I heard before everything went black.

•Jason's POV•
We got to the third place I thought he could be only to find it vacant, not even a hint of her smell.
We started running through the woods when I heard her voice in my head.
Jason. I'm out.
I stopped and so did everyone else, looking over at me.
"She's out." I said, looking at Ryan. "She escaped. But she isn't answering me now."
"She's okay." Ryan said, smiling softly. "We need to head home for tonight, Jason. She's out of his hands so we can go ahead and alert other Alphas that she's out and might end up on someone's territory."
I nodded and we all headed back home.

I followed Ryan into his office and he picked up the phone.
"There's a message." He said, hitting a button.
"Hello Alpha Ryan. This is Alpha Clayton from the Paramount Pack. We have a young girl here who walked across my borders not too long ago. She said she needed Jason when my Beta and a few warriors found her before she blacked out. The only Jason I could think of was your Beta and I remembered the email you sent me about a girl from your pack being taken by a rogue. Anyways, we have her here and my pack doctor has looked over her. Give me a call if you're gonna come by and see if this is your girl."
The message ended and Ryan called them back
"She's short. She has long blond hair, freckles."
He nodded as he listened to what was being said.
"Yup. Sounds like our girl. Okay. We're on our way."
He hung up and nodded.
"It sounds like they have Cira."
We both went to the car and got in.
"We'll be there in about five hours." He told me as we pulled out.
I nodded and looked out of the window.
We're on our way. I sent through our link, even though she probably can't hear me.

"Jason."
I opened my eyes and saw we were in front of a house.
I got out and followed Ryan to the door.
He knocked and Alpha Clayton opened the door.
"She's upstairs." He said.
I nodded and walked up, following her scent.
I opened up the door and saw her sitting up in the bed.
"Cira." I whispered.
She looked over at me and jumped up.
She ran over and wrapped her arms around my as she began to sob.
I held her tightly and whispered things to her until she calmed down.
She pulled away and I looked at her.
She had cuts and burns on her face, cuts up and down her arms and one big cut down her leg.
I growled softy and shook my head.
"I'm sorry." I said quietly.
"Don't be Jason." She whispered, shaking her head. "I'm okay."
"You aren't okay." I shook my head, gesturing to the wounds scattered around her.
"But I will be. And it isn't your fault." She said.
"You're okay." Ryan said, walking into the room.
She smiled and nodded.
"Can we go home?" She asked.
"Of course." I said, taking her hand.

"Thank you Alpha Clayton." Cira said when we reached the bottom step.
"Please. Call me Clayton. There's no need to thank me Cira, I'm happy to help you get back to your mate." He smiled.
I smiled back and we went out to the car.
Jason sat in the back seat with me and I leaned into him.
"I love you." I whispered, kissing her forehead.
"I love you too," she said before closing my eyes.
