Jason's POV
Ryan and I had been in the office everyday since Cira's gotten back.
We have an idea as to where Sean is hiding, now we need attack plans.
"I think we should go at night," Ryan said.
"No," I shook my head," Sean isn't stupid. He's going to have extra guards at night just incase we were to try to sneak up on him. I think our be-"
I was interrupted by a knock on the door.
"Come in," Ryan called.
"Jason," Cira's head poked inside, "can I come in?"
"Of course," I nodded.
She walked in and sat in the chair next to me.
"The building was big," she said quietly, "I was running for only about an hour until I crossed onto Alpha Clayton's land. I glanced back at the building and it was really big, but not tall. It was short. Like it was only one floor and then the basement."
"Thank you, Cira. That does help," Ryan said, smiling softly at her.
She smiled back and nodded.
"I'm going to go back upstairs," she said as she stood up and left the office.
"Is she okay," Ryan asked me after she was gone.
"She will be," I nodded, "I think she's just a little scared still."
"Understandable," he said, "I'd be scared too. That's why I've decided when we decide to attack Sean I'm going to have seven warriors stay here. Two of them will stay with her at all times while the others just make sure Sean doesn't try to send anyone to us."
I nodded and stood up.
"I'm gonna go check on her," I said as I went to the door.
"Okay," he said as I left the room.

I went up to our room and opened the door.
"Cira," I said," are you okay?"
"I'm in the closet," she said.
I walked in and she was sitting on the floor with her back to me.
"Are you okay," I asked quietly.
She just shrugged so I walked over and sat down next to her.
"Talk to me, Cira." I whispered.
She looked at me and nodded slowly.
"Is it okay to still be scared," she asked quietly, "because I am. I can't sleep without having nightmares, every time I wake up I'm scared to open my eyes because he might be there again."
"I know you're still scared. And it's okay to be scared. I just want you to know that I won't ever let anything happen to you again. Him getting to you was my fault. I should have been there, but I wasn't and I let him take you."
"It's not your fault, Jason," she shook her head, "Sean is the one who put me through all of that, you tried your hardest."
I nodded and she leaned her head against my shoulder.
"I love you," I whispered.
"I love you too," she whispered back, looking up and kissing me.
What started as the kiss got way more heated very quickly.
"I want to be yours," Cira whispered as she pulled my shirt over my head, "in every way possible."
"Are you sure," I asked.
She nodded and I didn't ask anymore questions.

Cira's POV
I woke up the next morning, my face becoming red as I remembered what happened.
I turned around to see that Jason was gone.
I sighed and climbed out of bed, going into the closet.
I grabbed a pair of black sweatpants and one of Jason's sweatshirts before going into the bathroom and taking a shower.

After I got dressed I threw my hair into a bun and grabbed my phone.
I went over to the kitchen that was on our floor and looked around. We've never used this kitchen so I opened all of the cabinets to see what was in here.
After finding the pan I needed I grabbed a few eggs from the fridge and started cooking.

"What's that smell," Jason poked his head in the kitchen.
"Eggs and pancakes," I gestured to the plates on the counter.
"Is there a specific reason as to why you decided to you use this kitchen," he asked.
"There's no stairs," I shrugged.
He chuckled and shook his head as he sat down at the counter.
I gave him his food and sat down next to him.
We ate in silence, not even looking at each other.

"What's wrong," I finally asked him.
"I have to leave," he said quietly, glancing over at me.
"Why?"
"Because I have to go," he answered vaguely.
"Go where," I asked as my patience thinned.
"To Sean," he whispered.
"Sean?"
"Yes, to Sean. We're leaving today, in one hour. He's a threat to you and our pack. We need to go eliminate the threat," he said, shrugging like it was nothing.
I nodded as I stood up.
"Okay," I said, "try not to die."
I walked out of the kitchen and into our room.
I shut the door and locked it as tears gathered in my eyes.
"Cira," the door knob jiggled as he tried to get in. "Open the door."
"Just leave, Jason."
"I can't, Cira. Not with you like this," he said.
"I just want to be left alone," I said.
It was quiet for a few minutes and then the door opened.
"There's a key," he said, holding it up.
"Of course there is," I muttered as I wiped the tears off of my face.
"Cira don't be like this," he whispered, sitting down next to me. "I have to do this and you know it. Do I want to leave you? No. But I have to."
I nodded and leaned my head on his shoulder.
"I love you," I whispered.
"I love you too, Cira. More than anything. I'll come home, I promise."
I nodded and we just sat on the bed in silence.

"Cira," Jason shook me gently, "I have to go now, Love."
I nodded and got up.
He pulled me to him and held my tight.
"I love you," he whispered.
"I love you too," I said.
He kissed me before slipping on his shoes and leaving.
I sat back on the bed and stared at the floor, thinking about what will happen.
If he doesn't come home like he promised I don't know what I'll do.

I had been laying bed for a few hours when someone knocked on the door.
"Come in," I said.
"Beta Cira," a boy walked in, "my names Kent. Beta Jason wanted me to stay with you."
I nodded and he sat down on the couch.

After a few minutes of silence he looked at me and stood up.
"So," he said, "what do you want to do?"
"What do you mean," I asked.
"We can't just sit here in silence," he shrugged, "we have to get up. Go do something. So what do you want to do?"
I just shrugged and he groaned loudly.
"Get up," he demanded, "get dressed. I'll wait outside."
I stared at him for a minute before nodding.
He left the room and I got up.
I wiggled into a pair of jeans and put on one of Jason's sweatshirts.
I put my black boots on and met Kent in the hall.
"Ready," he asked.
I nodded and followed him downstairs.

"Where are we going," I asked after he had been driving for about 30 minutes.
"We're almost here," he waved me off, "just shush."
I groaned and went back to staring out of the window.

"We're here," he finally said as he pulled in front of a small building.
"Where is here," I asked as we got out.
"The best ice cream in the world," he said as he opened the door.
"Kenny," the man behind the counter exclaimed, "you came back!"
"Of course I did," Kenny chuckled, "you can't get ice cream like this anywhere else."
"You're right about that one," the man chuckled.
"Chuck, this is Cira. She's the Beta's mate," he gestured to me.
"Hello Beta Cira," he smiled.
"Please," I smiled back, "just call me Cira."
He nodded before gesturing to the ice cream case.
"What flavor will it be?"
"I want the-" Kent began but was cut off by Chuck.
"Not you, boy. I know what you want," he chuckled, "Cira, what would you like?"
"Mint chocolate chip," I said, pointing at the one I wanted.
Chuck grabbed a cone and scooped a bunch of the ice cream on top of it.
"Here ya go little one," he handed it to me.
I thanked him as he grabbed another cone and scooped a few different ice creams on top and handed it to Kent.
"How much do I owe you," Kent asked.
"It's on the house," chuck said, smiling at us.
We went outside and sat at one of the tables.
"Did you meet Chuck here," I asked.
"No," he shook his head, "Chuck was a part of the pack, well he still is, but he moved away from the pack life. He lives right along the border now."
"Why?"
"His mate died giving birth to their son, Jalen, so his son was all he had," he said, looking away from me, "and then his son died two years ago."
"How'd he die," I asked quietly.
"Alpha Ryan allowed a rogue to join our pack, but the rogue wasn't who he said he was. He tried to kill Jalen's mate, but Jalen was killed protecting him."
"Where's his mate now?"
"You're looking at him," he said quietly as he looked back at me.
"Oh," I whispered, "I'm sorry."
"It's okay," he shrugged, "I found Jalen when I was fifteen. His dad immediately accepted us for being gay. My parents died when I was young so Chuck said I could move in with them. When I was seventeen Jalen died. It's been two years and I've been able to accept it, it still hurts to think about him but I've kept myself together. Chuck hasn't been so lucky. This ice cream place was Jalen's idea, but I think I'm the only one who comes here. He moved because he couldn't afford the other house after he quit his job. Now he's living off of basically nothing."
We sat there in silence as we finished our ice cream.
"I have to go to the bathroom before we go home," I stood up and walked back inside.
Chuck wasn't at the counter, but I could hear him somewhere in the back.
I quickly took my wallet from my pocket and took the money out.
I set it on the counter and went back out to Kent.

"Cira," Kent said, his face pale, "we need to go."
"What's wrong," I asked as we got in the car.
"They're home, but not everyone is okay," he said quietly as he sped down the road.
"Kent," I said quietly, "you're scaring me. Who's not okay?"
"There's only a few people who are seriously hurt," he glanced over at me, "one of them is Jason."
