It is then that I notice three bodies surrounding my mate.
What happened?
I take her into my arms and she makes a sound of pain.
"I'm sorry! " I say to her even though she can't hear me.
Why Goddess? Why did I have to find my mate the same day I lost my heart?
I look at her and a feeling of joy and love spreads all over my being.
Could it be that you knew she would be my salvation in this hopeless loveless world?
How can I learn to love again when all it has done is break me?
The answer is simple, I won't! I will not reject her but neither will I accept her.
Her face is that of an angel and oh how I long to hear her voice... "STOP! YOU CAN'T BE THINKING LIKE THAT! YOU WILL ONLY BE FRIENDS! " I scold myself.
I get up and run as fast as I can to the pack doctor.
I get there and the doctor tells me to wait outside.
I do so because I just want to know... NO, NEED to know if she'll be okay.
After that, I'll distance myself.
I mind link my sister who happens to be the alpha of this pack and say :
" Hey sis! I have bad and good news. "
" Start with the bad" She replies immediately.
" Amelia has been cheating on me and has been using me for my beta position ." I mind link sadly.
" I really can't say that I liked her anyway.. Although I am sorry, you deserve better. " she says.
" I found my mate "
She is silent for a while and I think she hasn't heard me.
" That is great news! When am I meeting her? When am I going to see my nephews and nieces? " She asks excitedly .
" Hold up! I'm not accepting her anyway! "
" What do you mean? So, you'll reject her? " She asks.
" No! I won't accept her nor reject her! "
" Where is she now? " She asks ignoring my statement .
" At the pack doctor! " I say.
" Wh-" I quickly close the mind link when the doctor calls me.
" Yes? " I answer.
" She's awake "
