"....Ah shit" 

"Ah shit" Damon repeated 

"Yes, AH SHIT!" I yell slapping Theodore on the arm as another wave of pain tightened around my stomach, I took a couple of deep breaths with my eyes close while it passed, there was no denying that they were more much closer together and the pain was getting worse

"What do we do?" Theodore panics back to pacing yet again, he really liked to do that 

"We have to go back to the hospital dumbass" I reply placing my hands on the bonnet of the car as I stretch out my back which had a niggling pain in it, a move my hips from side to side like I had seen on tv but it wasn't helping!

"Right you are, okay Cassandra, into the car" Damon orders, I look over my shoulder and glare at him making him hold up his hands in defense

"I can't move" I pant a fresh wave of pain hitting me "hmmm" I try to hum through the pain as a distraction, also not working. I felt a hand on the small of my back rubbing in comfort circles which I don't like to admit but it provides me with immediate comfort

"C'mon Cassie, I'll help you into the car" Theodore whispers practically carrying me to the back of the car, he helps to slide my legs in before walking around to the other side so he could sit next to me, I feel him place his hand on my thigh using his thumb to rub the bare skin that my shorts show. I feel tears spring to my eyes for the millionth time today

"What is wrong baby?" Theodore whispers pulling my body to his to hug me as I burst into tears, I was his baby now?

"I want my mum" I sob, since leaving my old pack I had pushed all thoughts of my friends and parents out of my head because I knew it would upset me but I had never wanted to see the familiar face of my mother more in my life than I did right now 

"You're stuck with us two idiots right now but we'll help you," Theodore says while Damon nods dramatically in the front seat

"I don't want you!" I exclaim as I take a fistful of Theodore's shirt into my hand "Ow.... it hurts!"

The journey back to the pack house - although only a short distance - seemed to take forever as waves of pain continued to rip through my body. Once we got there, Theodore picked me up bridal style and followed Damon who was moving everybody out of the way, I hid my face into Theodore's shoulder trying to bite my lip hard enough so that no noise came out but I was failing miserably.

"Thankfully the female doctor from earlier was waiting for us, although she gave me a stern look she did also look concerned about me

"You should have never have left Cassandra!" she points out with a small shake of the head, Damon is waiting guard outside the room while Theodore glares at the doctor

"I don't like the tone you're using on your Luna" he snarls as the doctor's eyes widen in fear

"Theodore! Shut it! The doctor is right she... OW!" I start to pant through the pain, Theodore notices me digging my fingernails into the palm and takes the hand closest to him into his hand to stop me from doing it

After being examined, the doctor left the room happy with the progress I was making she said she would come back to check on me later, labour, especially with a first baby, was usually a very slow process so I should expect a long wait.

"You're doing amazing Cassandra" Theodore whispers kissing my forehead yet his eyes told a different story, he looked completely terrified 

Despite protests from Theodore, I managed to get down from the bed and start to walk around the spacious room, I couldn't spend the whole time sitting on that bed - it was making me feel even more uncomfortable especially with Theodore constantly watching at me - at least now he was watching me from behind and I couldn't see his eyes boring into mine.

The pain was now spreading round further to my back in pain that was making me cry out in pain every time, so much so, that the doctor (Who I now knew as Doctor Fitzgerald) came back in the room to see how I was.

"You okay sweetie?" she says entering the room looking Theodore up and down as if to silently ask why he was just stood behind me not saying or doing anything but in reality he was just scared and didn't want to add to my pain because he didn't know what the hell he was doing

"It's my back" I pant leaning over the edge of the bed swaying my hips like earlier with my feet planted firmly on the floor even though my legs felt so weak that they could give out at any second 

"How's this?" she asks as she starts to roughly rub my back digging her hand right in, the pressure gave me immediate relief and I couldn't help but moan in pure delight at the small rest it was allowing me to have "Watch what I am doing Alpha, if you want to help Cassandra you should know how to"

"I don't know long I can cope with this" I say scrunching my eyes up as another pain hit, I felt someone kneel down right beside me and since Doctor Fitzgerald's hand was still on my back I knew it was Theodore, I opened my eyes to look at him, his eyes still held concern and fear but there was also something there, something I didn't notice... determination?

"You are one of the strongest people I know Cassie, you put up with me for god sake!" he jokes pushing a stray piece of hair off of my sweaty forehead, I held back all the sarcastic replies I had in my head knowing he was trying to make it work "You can do this and you will do it, your... the baby will be here soon and this will all be forgotten about"

He couldn't quite bring himself to accept the baby as his which I expected but he made the improvement, he didn't just call the baby mine because if this was going to work he would be a huge part of this baby's life.

"Let's get you onto the bed and I will examin you again to see how things are progressing" Doctor Fitzgerald smiles, with her on one side and Theodore on the other they helped me hobble to the bed between contractions, it was a whole other issue trying to get me on the bed but we eventually did it by Theodore sitting on the bed and lifting my up from the top but once I was on the bed instead of moving her stayed there and held me in his arms while whispering things in my ear

"Oh..." Doctor Fitzgerald said suddenly, she reached over behind mine and Theodore's shoulders and pressed a big red button instantly filling me with fear

"What... What is wrong?" I whisper, then the door flies open and 2 doctors along with 3 nurses rush into the room 

"Doctor? I want to know what is going on right now" Theodore demands knowing they didn't have a choice but to tell him, he was their Alpha after all

"Baby has turned around since the last time we saw it, it is very rare since it was in a perfect position and very low down but now the baby is stuck and seems to be panicking so we need to take you to theatre to make sure you are both okay" a new doctor explains who I had never seen before

"Is my baby going to be okay?" I ask feeling Theodore squeeze my hand comfortingly, I squeeze back hard as I feel another pain

"That's why we want to get baby out to make sure you're both okay" the doctor explains

Within 15 minutes, an anaesthetist was focusing on one of my hands to make me go to sleep while Theodore was holding the other in both of his large hands, he had brought them up to his mouth and was kissing them  every now and again probably more for his comfort than mine but I appreciated it all the same.

"I'm scared Theodore" I whisper, whenever I looked into his eyes all the rushing around us seemed to disappear just for the moment

"Oh Cassandra" he replies kissing my hand again "If we could swap, I would in a heartbeat but you're going to be amazing"

"Are you ready Cassandra, start counting back from ten" Doctor Fitzgerald whispers as I feel a warm feeling spread across my skin

"10... 9..." I already felt woozy

"The next time you see me, your baby will be here" Theodore grins squeezing my hand lightly

"...8....7..." I couldn't remember reaching another number but I did hear

"The next time you see me... our baby will be here"
