Chapter 3: Not Playing Kid Games

knock knock knock

"Who is it" I say still rubbing my neck walking to the door.

No one answers

knock knock

"Hello? Who is it??" I say a lil louder

Still no one answers.

I walk up and look through the peep hole. I don't see anybody.

I start to walk away until,

BANG BANG BANG

I jump and turn around "H-Hello" I say scared

"Who ever you are I'm calling the cops" I say running to the phone and picking it up.

It goes silent.

I walk back over to the door and look out through the peep hole and don't see anybody.

At this point, I am beyond pissed.

Who tf plays like that?? Only some little kids.

I walk away and then knock knock.

I've had it up to here, I run to the door and open screaming "Stop playing with my fucking door."

I see Emily, Brad, and Andy looking shocked at my outburst.

My face drops instantly "Omg I'm so sorry guys."

"Dam Hay, what's up?" Em said walking in and Brad following her holding some games.

"Someone's been knocking on my door and not answering when I answer then banged on my door and ugh it was just weird."

Andy is still outside standing in front of me, "Someone was playing on your door?"

"Yea" I say "Oh come on in"

He finally walks in and stands next to my couch where Emily and Brad are sitting,"You don't have to stand up, you know. You've been in my apartment before." I say walking into the kitchen getting the tray of snacks and drinks.

"I kno but since things ended the way they did, I don't know, I don't wanna seem rude or anything" he says looking deep in my eyes.

"It's fine. I mean were friends so its OK" I say putting my hand on his shoulder.

"Alright so I brought some Monopoly, Scrabble, Uno, etc." Brad says holding them.

"Uh no, Im not playing those kid games. I found this game online. It seems so cool." Em says standing up walking to my computer and going online.

"How do you play" I say stilling standing next to Andy

"OK so we need to have a bowl, vinegar, a black cats eye, an octopus, a thin piece of his black hair, and finally the blood of a virgin." she says looking directly at me.

I have my eyes popped out "Uh Em what kind of freaking game is?"

"Its the game to bring back Michael Jackson," she says printing of the ingredients.

"Who's Michael Jackson?" Brad says

"He was a black man that had a white woman and people treated him horrible for it.

So there was a witch, I don't know her name but she loved him and she wanted to be with him but he denied her.

So she killed his family and before killing him she turned him into a vampire and cased a spell on him that only a virgin can bring him back and killed by turning his body to stone." I say after rambling the whole story

"How did you know that" Andy says walking towards me

"My great great grandmother told me. She was living through that time and she was one of the lucky ones the witch didn't kill." I say smiling

"So are we up for the game" Brad says

"Guys I don't think its such a good idea." I say getting scared

"Oh come on Hay, its not real were just gonna play. It seems fun" she says getting excited

"OK so were are gonna find a black cat's eye?" I say

"There are a ton of black cats by the cemetery" Em says

"OK were are going to get an octopus?" I say

"There is a seafood restaurant up the road that sells all types of shit inside, they even have octopus." Brad says

"OK and where are we going to get a thin piece of Michael's hair?" I say

"Even tho I hate this but that old well he died in is about an hour away up the road, some of his hair is still down there." Andy says

"OK well I have vinegar but lastly whose this virgin we have to get blood from?" I said with my hand on my head

They all looked at me.

"What?"

"Haydee you know you are the only virgin within us?" Em says

"Wow really, why me?" I say sitting on my couch

"Well do you want us to just go out and find some innocent virgin and cut her to get her blood" Em says she makes it sound so mean

"Alright fine well do it, I guess well just get everything now and do it at the old well." I say walking into the kitchen and reaching into the back of the cabinet and grabbing some vinegar.

"Alright, so all get the black cat. Brad you get the octopus, and Andy you'll drive us to the well and Haydee bring a knife." Emily says walking out the door

"I can't believe I'm about to do this" I say slapping my forehead, then picking up the book of spells.

"Don't worry Hay, I'll protect you" Andy says

"From anything" he says grabbing me tight.
