Today is Saturday which means the cheer team and football team is coming over for a cookout. I get dressed in^^^ and throw my hair into a high ponytail and curl the ends. I do natural makeup and put on my fake glasses and head downstairs with my phone. "Hey, sweetie!" Mom says. "Hey!" I say and grab some waffles. I eat breakfast and then head back upstairs to my room and read my book until people start rolling in at 3:00.
It's 3:30 and now the entire football team and cheer team are here along with their parents and siblings. The adults are all outside which includes but are not limited to Dad, Mom, Jimmy Summerall III, Tisha Summerall, Jimmy Summerall IV, Hunter Summerall, Dylan Summerall, Brec Summerall, Greg Gisoni, Melissa Gisoni, Dale Orlando, Meredith Orlando, Maddie Orlando, Darian Orlando, Andy Franklyn Miller, Shannon Franklyn Miller, Barry Bartels, Brenda Bartels, Mike Finnerty, Carol Finnerty, Haylee Finnerty, Aaron Rumfallo, Ashlee Rumfallo, Jon Lueders, Diane Lueders, Liv Lueders, Jackson Lueders, Shay Carl Butler, Colette Butler, Cole Beckham, Cory LeRoy, Shanna LeRoy, Kelly Hyland, and Cristi Lukasiak. The non-high schoolers are playing outside or in the playroom. These include but are not limited to Hayley, Noah Franklyn Miller, Sienna Franklyn Miller, Noah Rumfallo, Emmi Butler, Brock Butler, Daxton Butler, Rhett LeRoy, Reese LeRoy, Perri LeRoy, Clara Lukasiak. The rest of us are in the living room hanging out this means me, Hayden Summerall, Maddie Ziegler, Kenzie Ziegler, Johnny Orlando, Lauren Orlando, Will Franklyn Miller, Jayden Bartels, Connor Finnerty, Brynn Rumfallo, Sadie Rumfallo, Carson Lueders, Gavin Butler, Avia Butler, Jordan Beckham, Kesley LeRoy, Brooke Hyland, Paige Hyland, Chloe Lukasiak and the rest of the football team. "We should play truth or dare!" One of the freshmen suggests and everyone else agrees. I guess that means I'm in too. We all sit in a circle. "Wait before we start we should have a penalty for not doing your dare or truth," Johnny says. "Hayden, how long does dad have you guys plank for?" I ask. "Three minutes. Why?" He asks. "And Avia how long do you guys plank for?" I ask. "Three minutes why?" She says. "There we go. The penalty shall be a five-minute plank." I say getting a few gaping looks. "What that's crazy!" One of the freshmen says. "Not really. I just added two minutes to your normal time. It shouldn't be too bad if you really do your exercises like you're supposed to." I say shut him up. "Alright. I'll start." Kenzie says. "Lauren, truth, or dare?" She asks. We do this for a little while and soon it's Brooke's turn. "Annie truth or dare?" She asks. "What the heck. Dare." I say. "I dare you to create a dance to Wolves by Selena Gomez without any practice before. And it can just be a clip of the song." She says. "Ok," I say, and get up and go grab the speaker. I decide on the part I'm going to do and then have everyone move out of my way so I can dance without hitting anyone.

"Woah." One of the freshmen says. "That was amazing Annie!" Another one says. "Thanks. Um, Paige, truth or dare?" I ask trying to move on. "Dare." She says. "I dare you to call your crush." I say not able to think of anything better. Paige starts to blush and grabs her phone. She calls her crush and then moves on. We continue on and then it's Avia's turn. "Ok, Annie. Truth or dare?" She asks. "Definitely dare. I don't trust you with the truth." I say knowing how much Avia could have me spill considering we've been best friends since birth. "Call. Your. Crush." She says. "Well, one. I wouldn't if I wanted to. And two no." I say and get in a plank position. "I'll time you." Hayden says getting out his phone. "And go." Hayden says and I lift up onto just my elbows and toes. Three minutes go by. "How is she not struggling?" One of the freshmen says. "Dude. It's coach's daughter. How would she not be." Another says. "And time." Hayden says after five minutes passed. I relax and sit back up. "Jeez. How toned are your abs?" Another freshman says. "First of all, last I checked that wasn't any of your business. And second of all, when will you learn that you aren't supposed to be hitting on coach's daughter? I could give you at least eight extra laps a day just because of the number of times you guys hit on me. But out of respect for the boys who know better, I keep my mouth shut. Maybe you should too." I say getting fed up. "Yes, queen!" Maddie says. "Preach!" Brooke says. "We told you." Conner says. "Um, Annie." I hear from the railing above and see Perri. "Yeah?" I ask. "Hayley's crying." She says and I jump up. "What? Is she ok?" I ask and start running up the stairs to the playroom. "She fell off her bad and hit her elbow on the floor." Perri says and I run into Hayley's room. "Hey, little bean." I say and carefully pick my crying sister up. "I want mommy!" She says. "Ok." I say and carry her out to the backyard to mom. "Annie, what happened?" Mom asks. "Perri said she fell off her bed and hit her elbow on the floor. She was able to move it so I don't think anything's broken. It's probably just bruised." I say. Mom nods and goes back to her conversation. I walk back inside and get back into the circle. "Johnny, truth, or dare?" I ask. "Truth." He says. "How long did it take you to build up the courage to ask Kenzie out?" I ask. "At least two months." He says. "Um not even. You were freaking out about it in the third grade." Lauren says earning a glare from her brother. "Fine. Hayden. Truth or dare?" Johnny asks. "Dare." Hayden says. "I dare you to call your crush." Johnny says. "Oh no. Someone's going to hate me and I'm not sure who." He says starting to pull his phone out. "You know you could just do the plank. It's not that bad." I say and he shakes his head. "If you're sure." I say shrugging my shoulders. "Speakerphone Hayden." Johnny says. "Yeah yeah I know." Hayden says. All of a sudden my phone starts to vibrate and it's, it's Hayden. Wait what. I pick it up. "Um Hey." I say looking at him. "Hey. So I like you. Like, like like you." He says. "Woah." Carson says not sure what the heck is going to happen because I'm not even sure. I hang up. "What's this about someone like liking Annie?" My dad says as he walks in. "Dad you heard wrong. It was Conner calling Jayden." I say trying to save Hayden. "Annie I already know they're a thing." Dad says. "So. It was a dare." I say. "Ok." Dad says and starts to walk away. "Coach. It was Hayden. He called Annie and told her he like liked her." Chase jumps up and says. "Chase!! Shut up!!" Hayden yells along with the rest of the sophomore, juniors, and seniors. "Oh really?" Dad says looking at Hayden. I freeze for a second. Wait Chase asked me out. That's way worse than just telling me you like me! "Chase asked me out on Tuesday!" I say. "What. No, I didn't." He says. "Yes, you did. And now you're calling me a lier." I say. "Chase, did you ask my daughter out?" Dad asks. "No sir." Chase says trying to be respectful when really he's just a lier. "And Hayden all you did was tell her you like her?" Dad asks. "Yes sir. If I wanted to ask her out I would've asked you're permission first." He says making me blush. Aww, no guy ever thinks about asking my dad first. "Annie. Are you lying about Chase?" Dad asks. "When have I ever lied about one of the freshmen asking me out?" I say kind of hurt that he doesn't trust me. "Chase. Did you or did you not ask my daughter out?" Dad asks. "I did not sir. Your daughter must be lying." Chase says and I feel my eyes start to well up with tears. "Annie. Are you lying?" Dad asks. "You don't trust me?" I ask feeling a tear roll down my cheek. "No I just-" dad starts but I cut him off. "Never mind." I say and run outside and run to the park to my favorite spot.
