Julia's POV

The next day, I woke up quite late due to the time difference. The jet lag did not serve me well.

I got out of the enormous bed, which was a challenge in itself due to the extreme comfort, and headed to the window to open the curtains.

When I looked out at the beautiful scenery, my breath was taken away. It was the first time that I could properly look at where I was, since it was nighttime when we arrived.

The view from my bedroom window was incredible. I could see amazing countryside hills and local homes, as well as the ocean in the distance. The sun was shining and I could also see a large pool in the back garden, just below my window.

I couldn't wait to explore.

I quickly got dressed and ready and headed downstairs to see if I could find anyone. I walked into the main hallway, which was the only room in the house that I'd actually seen.

I had no idea where I was going or where anybody was. The house was huge, which only meant that I'd get lost.

I entered a couple of different rooms to try and find my way. I was looking for the kitchen but had had no luck so far.

However, at least now I know where the dining room, downstairs bedrooms and bathroom are.

I opened another door, getting tired of the search, to see a large room full of sports cars and jeeps. Of course, I've found the garage before I could find the kitchen.

"What are you doing in here?" I heard Reed's deep voice from behind me.

I turned to see him wearing a full black outfit, ripped jeans and a leather bikers jacket. He looked unreal and I stood wondering to myself how I ever managed to meet such a breathtaking man.

"I may have gotten a little lost." I blushed, avoiding his eye contact.

"And you ended up in the garage?" he chuckled.

"And the dining room, bathroom and bedrooms..."

His head tilted back as he let out a loud, echoing laugh.

"Come on, I'll take you to the kitchen." he said, holding out his hand for me to take.

I carefully reached for his hand as he led me through the house, showing me around each room.

We finally found the kitchen which was huge, with gorgeous marble counters and vases of wildflowers scattered around the room.

Ivy and Blade were already in the room eating breakfast and obviously enjoying each others company as they barely noticed our presence.

Blade was wearing a similar outfit to Reed but didn't look nearly at attractive and Ivy was already in her bathing suit. Sporting a bikini top and shorts.

"Good morning." I said, causing them to lift their heads and smile at me.

"Morning newbie." Blade chirped.

"How did you sleep?" Ivy asked, pouring me a cup of coffee.

"Amazingly, but it'll take a while to get used to the time difference."

She nodded at me and passed me a cup as I sat down on a stool.

"So, what's the plan for today?" I asked, looking back at Reed, who's eyes were still strangely stuck on me.

"Well, we have a few work matters to attend to before our big job tomorrow but we should be back by this evening." Reed shrugged.

"Yeah, but we need to wait for everyone to arrive first." Blade said.
