What is a mate?

I woke up feeling great but was sad to see Mr.Wolf was gone.

I got dressed into my jogger a pair of Janoskies and a sweater. I ate a quick breakfast and headed down the stairs.

I pulled up into school pretty early and was walking to my locker when I turned the corner I saw Carter and some guy talking.

"I'm really glad you found you mate, she will be a wonderful Luna." A kid with a football jersey said.

I coughed loudly to let them know I was there.

"I'm Jackson" the boy said Bowing slightly

"Summer." I smiled. He bowed again and walked away

"Uhhh what's a mate?" I asked Carter

"A mate is uh like a girlfriend or your dream girl she's perfect for you." My heart dropped he found his mate.

"Oh so you found your mate?" I tried to hide the disappointment in my voice but failed miserably.

"Yea she's beautiful she's smart she's funny." Carter went on

"But you wanna know the best part?"

"What"i whispered

"It's you." With that he leaned in and slightly kissed me.

"Isn't this to fast?" I whispered.

"Well then Summer would you allow me to take you on a date?" Carter grinned

"Ok I guess if I have to." I joked

"How bout tonight at five?"

"Ummm sounds g-great." I stuttered wow I'm cool

We headed to first period and Jake came up to me.

"Hey Summer id like you to meet my girlfriend Grey." Jake said excitedly

A short blonde with grey eyes came up to me.

I stuck out my hand "It's nice to meet you." She laughed and was about to say something when the bell rang

"I'll get back to you on that." she smiled

She seems very nice and she's very well pretty.

It seemed like eternity for me to get home. All day I kept thinking about my date

I put on some skinny jeans and a floral tank top with a cardigan. I straightened my hair and put on some more mascara and lip gloss.

I decided to wear my nice white converse just in case we were walking somewhere.

I watched tv and ate an apple as the hours slowly passed. Finally five came around and a car pulled up.

Carter knocked on the door when I saw him I almost died.

His hair was neatly messy and his t-shirt was tight showing off his muscles his jeans were dark and he had the biggest grin on his face.

"Wow you look amazing." I whispered

"Nothing compared to you." he laughed.

I shut the door and he grabbed my hand and walked me to the car opening the door for me.

Oh manners

"Let's play a game on the way there,how about twenty one questions." he grinned

"Favorite food?" I questioned

"Pizza."

"Favorite color?"

"Pink obviously." I laughed

"First girlfriend?"

"Freshman year." I wasn't surprised

"Player were you?" I joked

"Totally." He smiled sarcastically.

We kept asking question till we arrived at a fair.

"OH MY GOD A FAIR IV ALWAYS WANTED TO GO TO ONE." I screeched
