Demetri opens my door and I step out to see Aro and Caius, but no Marcus, standing in front of the entryway to the castle from the underground parking lot. Just by their expressions written on their faces, I knew they were mad and worried. Aro thanks the three guards for escorting me back before Caius grabs my arm and drags me inside, ignoring my protests.

The walls. The walls were bad. There were punches all over them. Servants and lower guards were patching holes up and there were even construction crews inside. It looked like an invasion took place; it was that bad. Aro opens the throne room doors and the thrones are nowhere to be seen. The only evidence of damage taking place was the marble stairs. They were fractured. Caius continues to drag me by the arm as Aro leads us through the hidden door behind where the thrones are supposed to be. The hidden door takes us to our wing, and I stop, astonished. The room was a mess. The main sitting area was torn apart. Pieces of wood were still sitting on the floor and a human servant that was supposed to be cleaning the room is taken away via Caius' orders. I knew what was going to happen to her.

The couches and chairs were ripped. Stuffing coming out of them and the fabric being torn away from the stiches. The room was unrecognizable. Aro takes us into his office where the room was semi-intact. The bookcases were ruined and there were a few punches in the wall, but everything else seemed to be fine. Aro sits down in his office chair and Caius leads me to the two chairs in front of the desk and forces me to sit down.

There's silence in a room for a few moments until Caius, who is standing beside the desk, speaks. He was angry, far angrier than Aro. "You will be locked away in the tower for a whole two months for your disobedience! You will only see one of us on alternating weeks. Marcus is completely devastated because of your foolish act! He refuses to leave his room! Felix will take you to the tower."

I grit my teeth. "No! You will not lock me in the tower! I left temporarily because you weren't allowing me to experience freedom! I just wanted to shop, that's all I wanted to do! This wouldn't have happened if you had let me shop with Chelsea and Heidi last week! You know how frustrating it is to be dictated in your own home--or at least what I thought was home? I was actually getting used to this place, but not anymore. I was actually starting to warm up to you guys, but that's now ruined! I am tired of being dictated of what I can wear and what I cannot wear! I'm fine with my clothes being professional outside of the wing, but I can't even wear shirts and jeans in our wing! Let alone in my own chambers! I'm not allowed to go outside in the garden! The garden! You know how frustrating it is to be dictated of what you can wear and what you can do in the place that's supposed to be your home? How am I supposed to live here for the rest of my life if I am to be dictated? So, no. I will not be listening to your dictatorship anymore, Your Highness."

Caius slams his fist on the desk. "Why you--"

Aro stops him. "Brother, calm. We shall speak more of this later. At this time, there will be no severe punishments as Caius has laid out. You'll only have to stay in my chambers for two weeks until you can come out. Then, we'll see if we can make any arrangements that concern your complaints. I can't guarantee you will be granted everything you want. Now, wait." he put his hand up to stop me from interrupting. "This is a far better outcome than Caius'. I assume you want to speak with Marcus? I'm sure he'll feel better if you talk to him. He's hurting, mia cara."

"I suppose I should." I agree.

Aro nods and gets up from his desk. "Follow me."

I leave Caius to sulk in Aro's office as I follow Aro to Marcus' chambers. Aro knocks on it. "I request silence, brother." I hear Marcus say.

"Would you still request silence if Amity was here?" Aro questions.

A brief pause erupts until it is broken by Marcus. "S-she's here?"

"Very much so, brother." Aro replies.

The sounds of locks being unlocked can be heard before Marcus' door opens to reveal a Marcus I did not recognize. The Marcus that will filled with sadness and despair. My heart ached. "Il mio amore, you've returned to us." he breathes as he tucks a loose hair behind my ear.

I purr at the contact. "I never planned to leave. I just merely wanted to explore and shop. I was going to return right after I was done."

Marcus nods. "Can I enjoy some time alone with our mate, brother?"

Aro nods. "Of course. I should probably stop our brother from tearing up my already damaged office even more."

Marcus grabs my hand and pulls me inside his chambers before closing the door. "I've missed you, mia cara. You are my light in the darkest days. Tu sei il sole. Sei il fiore che arriva in primavera, ma non appassisce mai. Sei il mio tutto. I love you, αγάπη."

I giggle and rest my head on his chest as his arms enclose around me. "I don't know what you said in that big Italian bit and that last word, but I love you too, Marcus."

Marcus smiles. It must have been his first smile in hours. "I said 'you are the sun. You are the blossom that comes in spring, but it never wilts. You are my everything.' and 'αγάπη' means love, darling."

My dead heart flutters at his words and I blush. "The flattering words are nice, Marcus, but nothing is as flattering as you. I'll say it again. I love you, Marcus."

"Really?" asks Marcus.

"Really." I stare into his eyes and before I know it, his lips are pressed on mine. I was complete.
