Luis and I were talking about whatever when we heard Izzy giggling. We heard another voice as well. It sounded like a little boy or something. I didn't think much of it, but Luis was skeptical.

"One second." He stood up.

"What are you doing?" I asked, standing up after him.

Luis peeked his head out into the hallway. "Who is that..."

I peeked my head out with him and saw this boy with blonde hair, blue eyes, and adorable freckles running behind Izzy.

"Oh, hi, Bubba!" Izzy chirped.

"Hey..." He mumbled. "Who's that?"

"This is Jack Smalls." She replied.

"Hi." He waved shyly.

Smalls...I swear I've heard that name before.

"Oh, okay..." Luis sighed. "Is he, uh, your friend or something?"

She nodded. "Yeah, we met at school."

"Ah," Luis nodded his head up. "Cool."

She nodded again and grabbed Jack's hand. "Come on, Jackie!"

He smiled and they ran over to her room. I chuckled lightly. "He's cute."

Luis's jaw clenched. "Mhm."

I scoffed. "What's up with you?"

He looked at me while shaking his head. "Nothing."

"Not you being mad about Izzy having a friend."

"But...he's a boy." Luis sighed.

"So?"

"So, what if he...you know..."

I rolled my eyes. "They're six years old, Luis! They don't know about that stuff yet!"

He threw his hands up in defense. "I'm just sayin'!"

I groaned. "You're so stupid."

"I'm just trying to protect my little sister." He sighed.

"I know, but he seems like a nice kid."

"He spoke one word to us, Amelia! One!" He shouted louder than he should've.

"I know, but still!"

We kept barking at each other back and forth until we saw Izzy come out of her room.

"Bubba?" She mumbled.

He spun to face her. "What?"

She pouted. "Are you guys fighting?..."

He sighed. "No, amor, we weren't fighting."

"But I heard you yelling at each other..."

"We weren't fighting, I promise."

"I don't like it when you guys fight..." She sighed.

I swallowed nervously and Luis looked at me. "We just had a bit of a disagreement, that's all."

She hugged his leg. "Please don't fight anymore, okay? I don't like seeing you upset."

Luis nodded. "We won't, I swear."

She smiled. "Thank you, Bubba."

He nodded softly and she ran back to her room. He looked back up at me and sighed. "Sorry..."
