Chapter 36- House on Fire!

"What?" Kelly says rubbing his eyes
"The apartment is on fire!" Harper shouts
Kelly leaps out of bed and runs over to Harper. When he sees the fire he just freezes
"Kelly?" Harper says tapping his shoulder
"Hey! Snap out of it!" Harper says
"The kids!" Kelly says
"There at Bodens remember?" Harper says
"Oh right!" Kelly says finally unfreezing
"We need a way out! There's a path! Follow me!" Harper says grabbing Kelly's hand
They manage to make it out and close the door behind them
"That's gonna travel quick!" Kelly says
"I know! Let's get everyone out!" Harper says
They make their way down the hallway and bang on people's doors. They manage to get everyone out and Harper is doing the last sweep. She runs out coughing. Truck 76 are responding
"Hey! Jordan!" Harper shouts
"Captain?" Jordan says confused
"The fire started in my apartment 2b! Everyone is out and accounted for! The fire is spreading fast to be careful!" Harper says
"Got it Captain!" Jordan says running in
Harper then sits in the sidewalk next to Kelly. She is laying down and resting her head on his lap whilst he rubs her back
"Guys! Are you okay!" Dawson says rushing over along with Casey
"Yeah we're good!" Kelly says smiling
But no one has noticed that Harper's leg is cut
"I'm good!" Harper says smiling weakly
"What's up harper? You look kinda pale?" Dawson says lifting the blanket
"Ohh that's a nasty cut your eyes got there!" Casey says making a face at Harper's leg
"Oh I must have caught it on something" Harper says not taking her head off of Kelly's lap
"you sit here and I'll go grab some gauze!" Dawson says running over to a rig
"What happened?" Casey asks
"It was arson" Harper says calmly
"What?" Casey replies
"Well our apartment usually doesn't smell like gasoline!" Kelly says
"What if the kids were in there!" Kelly says
"It's gotta be that Riley's mum or dad!" Harper says
"We need to run this by Voight!" Kelly says
"After I sleep!" Harper replies
Dawson comes running back over with the things she needs to treat Harper's leg. She sits and treats it until Harper and Kelly get up
"Stay with us tonight!" Dawson says linking arms with Harper
"Thank you guys!" Harper says as they get in the car
They arrive at Casey and Dawson's and they go into their room
"I'm sorry Kelly!" Harper says
"Sorry for what?" Kelly asks getting into bed
"If I hadn't of tutored that boy then we wouldn't be in this situation!" Harper says getting in next to him
"It's not your fault and everyone knows you didn't set that fire!" Kelly says giving her a kiss
