Chapter 42- The crash

"Truck 81, Ambulance 61, Truck 66, Person tapped, 78th street" The intercom says
They all suit up and hop in the truck. They are halfway there
"What about a little friendly competition? Who can get there first?" Welch says through the radio
"Your on!" Herrmann replies
"Seriously guys?" Harper says
They get to a stop sign and Otis keeps on driving. Harper looks to her right and can spot truck 66 coming their way
"Otis!" Harper shouts as truck 66 goes into Harper's side of 81
Truck 81 is lying on its side and Harper has been ejected from her seat. She wakes up
"Guys! Are we all okay?" Harper asks
"My arms broke!" Amelia says
"Okay! What about everyone else?" Harper asks
"I'm good!" Herrmann replies
Otis is shaking
"Hey! Otis look at me! It wasn't your fault!" Harper says
Harper climbs out the truck and jumps down
"Truck 81 to main! There has been an accident between truck 81 and 66 please send other companies to the scene" Harper says through the radio
"Copy that 81!" Main replies
The guys manage to get out of 81 and run over to help 66. Squad 3 arrive on scene along with some other ambulances
"Harper!" Kelly says running over to her
"Hey I'm okay!" Harper says giving Kelly a hug
No one is hurt badly just broken bones and cuts.
"Otis! This was your fault can you not drive?" Welch shouts
"Look I'm sorry!" Otis says looking at the ground
"That's not good enough!" Welch shouts getting close to Otis
"Hey! That's enough! I was in the front with Otis and he did everything right! The light was green! Which means you ran a red light!" Harper shouts
"We didn't! It's your horrible leadership!" Welch shouts
"Watch your mouth! Your talking to a captain here! I'm in charge of truck 66!" Harper shouts
"Ugh! Let's be real here "Captain" the only reason you got that promotion was because you have babies with the squad Captain!" Welch shouts
"What's their ugly asses called again?" Welch asks
"That's enough! I get it you have been involved in an accident but so have I! I'm the one doing the paperwork for this later not you! Your annoyed with me! So don't you dare bring my kids into this! You'll be lucky if your "ugly ass" steps foot in a firehouse ever again! Now get off my scene!" Harper shouts angrily
Welch is going to say something but then he just turns around and throws his helmet on the floor angrily before walking away.
