Adorable Girl

Carly's POV
On our way back to the Laundromat walking side by side is quite peaceful on a nighttime

"I won't force you to answer but why do you have a gun?" Leo asked his question out of the blue, I looked at him
"I never thought I would resort to using my gun, I was hoping not to use it because it's either Matt, Sean or Jasper that is protecting me"

"why now?" Leo stopped from walking and I looked at him

"just because I used a gun now doesn't mean I don't know about how you fight a lot of guys Leo" I crossed my arms and sighed

He just laughed and came closer to me, he put his hands on both of my cheeks and squished them
"you know everything little one" he said while still squishing my cheeks

Leo then stopped and everything went silent, he realized what he is doing and just commented
"I'm not gonna apologize for this, it's a great opportunity to see what you really are when I squish your cheeks" he gave out a small laugh and let my cheeks go

We finally arrived at the Laundromat and Matt just right on time came out with the basket and some clean clothes
"Let's go home Carly" Matt said as he gave me the car keys that I left on the ground

I looked at Leo and said
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow then, you better go inside your sister must be waiting" while putting on my hoodie and got in the car

Leo's POV
I looked at the back of their car as they're leaving and after the incident, I felt happy for some reason and went back to the Laundromat

Kathrina ran to me as soon as I got in with a chocolate candy at hand
"where did you get that Kath?"

"Mr.Matt gave it to me and told me not to go out" and she whispered something in my ear
"I think he called the police" and she went back eating her chocolate candies

A few minutes went by and the dryer was finished, so I put all the clothes in place and we head back home

Upon entering we were greeted by my mother at the door, her face filled with shock
"MY GOODNESS LEO, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!" mom said as she checked my face, I showed her the basket
"Leo you didn't have to do it" she said as I gave the clean clothes inside the basket
"no it's fine, cleaning a few clothes won't hurt us and our dryer is in repair so might as well I do it" as I went inside with Kathrina, mom just gave me a worried look

Dad is not here with us anymore, so I took some of the responsibility in doing the chores in the house that dad used to do

I went up to my room and laid on my bed feeling relaxed as the soft mattress touched my back and I closed my eyes

I remember suddenly that I squished Carly's cheeks and she turned into a chipmunk from it, I opened my eyes slowly and looked at my hands
"adorable girl"

And I went to sleep

Carly's POV
When I got home last night my whole family greeted me as I got in, mom checked my face and found my wound

While dad and both of my brothers asked what happened to Matt

All of us went inside the house and talked in the living room after Matt explained what happened to me

"don't go to school tomorrow" Dad said

"huh?, why would I dad?" I asked him

Dad looked at mom and it seems that only they know what is going on, but I wouldn't force them to tell me

I was told that I wouldn't be in school for about a week, so I messaged Stacy about it

So right now it is night time and I'm on my 2nd day at home and was told not to get out, my brothers offered to help me by bringing snacks that I liked

I heard knocking at the front door and I took a peek and I saw Leo at the front door, mom and dad are out for the evening Matt has a date with his girlfriend

Sean is asleep and Jasper is the only one awake, I let Leo in
"what are you doing here?" I asked him as I closed the door

"Stacy asked me to give this to you" Leo gave me some notes and the assignment for today

"oh, please say thank you to Stacy for me" I replied as I smile and Leo smiled back

This went on until the end of the week that I am forced to stay at my own home, me and Leo did form some kind of bond in things we have in common

Like liking caramel in chocolate and hating nuts that are put in the chocolate, or liking horror and thriller movies. Leo always helped me in my Math and Art assignments whenever I need help

It was kind of fun hanging out with Leo, he did play monopoly with me and Sean

He kept winning and getting rich as I was losing and getting poor

I feel my eyes getting sleepy as I kept reading for the History quiz

I woke to mom waking me I groaned that I'm going to go back to school, she looked at me with a worried face and kissed my forehead

I got ready with my yellow hoodie and plain white pants with white shoes, as I got down I saw everyone at the breakfast nook and dad stood up and gave me something

I looked at my hand and it was a toy alarm, you know the kind you give to kids that looks like a toy but when you pull the string a loud alarm came out of it

"put it to where you can easily reach it, Carly" My dad said as I looked at him

I put the alarm at my mint green body bag that I always wear and ate breakfast with them

I finished eating and I went out, taking the bus to school because I feel I have caused enough trouble for everyone at home, the bus stopped at the school gate entrance and I went in

Walking on campus in the early morning feels great, everyone is quiet and some are sleeping at different spots I giggled at some who is having a hard time finding a perfect place to take a quick nap

I found Stacy on the second-floor library and thanked her for the notes and assignment, she looked at me with a 'did I?' look

"Carly......I wasn't in school in the past week, my phone fell on the school fountain when I was bumped by a senior it happened after I replied to your message on what happened to you" and she added
"I was also at the hospital for four days and stayed at home for three more days, so I don't know what notes you are saying" she gave me a shrug

And she went back to copying notes from another classmate of ours

Then who on earth is giving me notes and assignments if it's not Stacy?

My eyes landed on Leo as he went out of his car in the school parking lot

"Leo, was it you?" I thought

Then he looked at me and gave me a smile
