Saad and Falak stood glaring at each other. Hadi could see the frustration on Saad's face. He knows his friend has never experienced such treatment from a girl. He could feel the tension rising and tried to calm his friends.

"Falak chill, he was just joking. Haina Saad?" Hadi tried to convince her.

"No I wasn't." Saad snapped. Hadi felt like punching Saad in the face because he's being a bitch.

"Hadi tum iss show off ki tarafdari mat karo." Falak said.

"Excuse me? Show off?" Saad asked furiously.

"Haan show off. Itna itrane ke baad bhi goal nahi kar paye aur bade aaye mujhe judge karne." Hadi couldn't help but chuckle at that.

"Haan toh tumhe bada khelna ata hai jaise."

"Aata hai. Chalo abhi chalo btati hu tumko." Falak challenged.

"Fifi you just said you're tired. Zidd mat karo." Hadi said.

"Nahi ab to ego py aagyi hai."

"Khel lete hain. Aur haa har jao toh tension mat lena mai samjh lunga tum thaki hui ho, Fifi." Saad said smugly emphasizing 'Fifi'.

"Huh as if. We'll do penalties. We take five shots each. Whoever scores more wins. Theek?" Falak said authoritatively. Saad didn't reply but nodded his head.

Hadi sighed in disbelief as the three of them walked towards the goal post. He stood at the sidelines and watched the two of them take their positions. Saad was going for the shoots first and Falak was at the goal post.

'ye kya ziddi baccho me phas gaya hoon main.'

Jennifer and Haris came back with drinks for Falak and Hadi as well.

"Ye kya horha hai?" Haris asked handing Hadi his drink.

"Mat hi pucho." Hadi sighed.

"Arey batao na ye dono kya krrhe hain?"

"Dono ki behes hogyi kyuke Saad ne Falak ko taunt kiya that she can't play. Usko gussa agya and now they're trying to see who's better. If that makes sense. Even i Don't know ekdm se baat kaha se kaha chali gyi." Hadi shook his head in disapproval. Haris just laughed. Typical Fifi behaviour.

"Go Fifi. Show em tiger." Jennifer cheered for her best friend. Falak showed her a thumbs up.

Hadi, Haris and Jennifer watched carefully, as Saad took his first shot. He kicked the ball and the ball bumped to the pole. The second went off in the air. Saad was getting frustrated by this, and then he kicked the ball really hard, the ball swerved to the left with extreme force.  Falak braced herself and kicked the ball with her left leg. She blocked it.

"Yayyy that's my girl." Jennifer and Haris jumped cheering on their friend. Hadi was shocked that she blocked such a forceful shot.

But what Saad did was extremely unexpected. He ran towards her and said,

"Tumhe Lagi to nahi na, sorry maine bohot tezz mardiya tha." He asked genuinely. There was no hint of mockery in his tone. He saw Falak's expression turning angry because she must've thought he's mocking her, so he added. "that was a very good save, but mai genuinely puch rha hu lagi toh nahi na.? I'm sorry."

"Nahi nahi. I'm fine. It's okay." Falak replied.

"Okay."

Before they could continue Hadi decided that it's enough.

"Bas i think ye game ab idhr hi khtm krdete hai. Fifi proved her point. Haina Saad?" He asked Saad sternly, who nodded. Hadi then motioned him to apologise.

"I'm sorry. You know how to play and you're a good player." Saad said to Falak.

"It's okay and thanks." Falak smiled at him. "Jennyyyy mujhee godii lelo I'm so tired." She whined, leaning on her best friend.

"Aurr challenges de faltu ke. Chal ab kahin baithaun tujhe."

"Tum dono arhe ho?" Haris asked the other two boys who just nodded and followed behind them.

The five of them were now sitting in the cafeteria where Hadi introduced Jennifer and Haris to Saad. He is also in his first year, he's doing BBA.
The boys then indulged in their own conversation and the girls had their own.

"You know how i make friends with everyone?" Jen said to Falak in a hushed voice, Falak hummed in response.

"I'm not being friends with those two." She concluded.

"Kyun?" Falak whispered.

"Joseph ko acha nahi lagega, I'm making too many male friends in college, I respect my boyfriend enough and they're good looking too." Jen chuckled. 

"Don't let Harry hear this." Falak laughed. "Aur waise bhi I'm also not becoming their friend. Bas acquaintance hi theek h."

"Yaar One Piece, nahi nahi ye wo Fifi ki expertise hai." Haris said loudly.

"No no no I'm outta here, not you two too." Jennifer yelled. 

"Tum anime bhi dekhti ho?" Saad and Hadi asked at the same time.

"Haaan?" She again replied questioningly because why is it a big deal a girl watches anime.

"Hum bhi dekhte hai." Saad said.

"Oh I'm definitely being friends with them." Falak whispered to Jen.

"Falak tum to yaar bht hi kamaal ho." Hadi said.

"Chalo bas zyada free mat ho ye meri best friend hai." Haris said in a mock serious tone making everyone laugh. Saad kept talking to Falak àbout their favourite anime series and characters, when a voice said.

"Saad tum aaj college aye ho?" The group turned to see a girl standing besides Saad's chair.

"Mariyam hi." He said lowly.

"Tum college aye ho aur tumne bataya bhi nahi." The girl, named Mariyam, chirped. Jennifer and Falak exchanged a look at her behaviour.

"Haan yar kya karun roz college ata hu roz toh nahi bta sakta." Saad responded dryly. Mariyam took a seat beside Saad.

"Ye bhi sahi kehrhe ho. Hi Hadi."

"Hey Mariyam."

"Aur btao kya chal rha hai?" She asked Saad.

"Kuch khaas nahi. Guys ye Mariyam hai. Aur Mariyam ye mere friends hai, Haris, Falak aur Jennifer." The others noticed Saad seemed irritated by her presence, but the girl either didn't notice or didn't care.

"Hello everyone." While everyone chatted amongst themselves Falak zoned out.

'yaar ye kya ho rha hai? Itna saare log kyu aate jarhe hain meri life me. Kaha Maine no friendship rule banaya hua tha aur kaha ek hi hafte me 4 dost bana liye. Uff Falak get a hold of yourself. Just because Harry aur Jen acche hai doesn't mean Hadi aur Saad bhi ho. But Hadi toh kitna accha hai. Aur Saad bhi bura nahi hai, usne sorry bhi bola aur he made sure you were okay. Ya Allah ye kya horha hai ab kahin mujhe iss mariyam se bhi toh dosti nahi karni pdh jaegi?
