"I am not going on the date and that's final." I announced getting up from the table without having my breakfast and ran to my room, closing the door so that no one will come in trying to change my mind.

The last few days has been stupidly hectic for me. From running from my family to being able to avoid the Malhotras especially when they are visiting us home or my family is visiting them just so I don't come face to face with a particular jerk has made my life a hell.

My family has been trying to convince me for the date and only three days are left until the day comes. Once I successfully am not present there, he will back out on his own.

This is so annoying, I don't even like him and I am pretty sure he isn't the one to fall for someone a first sight and I gave him a shitty attitude but he still wants to go on a date with me. Loser.

A small knock on my door interrupted my chain of thoughts. Relieving a deep sigh, I asked the person to come in, I expected it to be Mom, maybe chachi or Riya di but I didn't expect it to be Dad.

I couldn't even roll my eyes at the annoyance cause I love my Dad but I refuse to believe that apparently the jerk Veer Singh Raichand impressed him in just one meeting.

Yeahh, Apparently Veer had visited Dad and they talked, and I don't know what they exactly talked about but since their meeting Dad just won't stop telling Mama how much he finds Veer worthy of praise.

"Want to know a secret sweetheart?" He paused and sat beside me as I looked at him. I could never not hear my Dad no matter how much angry I am at them.

"Your Mom and I didn't had a love marriage." I blinked my eyes in surprise, "What? But I thought.."

"I know, you thought we had arrange marriage and we will expect you all to have arrange marriage as well?" I nodded, not that I had someone in mind but still it just felt different.

"No darling, I and your Mama would be happy in your happiness," He paused caressing my hairs, "As long as it's someone who we are sure would keep you happy, we don't mind sweetheart."

I couldn't help but awe as I took him in a tight hug. "But I trust your choice Dada, and besides I don't exactly have a boyfriend." I laughed and so did he,

"We can talk to Rakshit if you are interested," He laughed more teasing me as I fake glared at him, "No way Dada, don't you know how unserious that guy is and besides his family is really scary. I don't wanna be involved in some classic Royal familial soap operas setting." I made a face as I ranted about my best friend.

"Rakshit is a good Man." Dad praised him, my Dad always loved him, just as much as me if not more. He had been friends with his Dad and that's exactly how I and Rakshit met. We went to the same school, played together and we both attended all the Royal parties together because he would never take anyone else as his date.

"So why is it Mr. Raichand?" I asked biting my lips, "I thought you trusted our choice?" Dad asked teasingly as I nodded biting my lips.

He smiled and hugged me tightly, "We will never force you bachha, I just think that you should meet him once, give him a chance."

I still wasn't convinced but I refrained myself back from showing my No to my Dad, "And sweetheart if you still don't want to marry him, no one will force you. Your no will be our no."

I couldn't help but smile at him. I could tell he really wants me to meet him. And besides Jhanvi aunty and Sia di, they are so sweet. I shouldn't be throwing unnecessary tantrums. right? "I will go on the date Papa."
