"VERY SUBTLE MAX." the world champion just shrugged his shoulders. "They can cry about it on Twitter for all I care." He puts his phone down on the coffee table situated in front of the couch that they were currently rotting away on.
They had a very busy day. The two of them were planning on just chilling on Max's boat but unfortunately for Max they bumped into Daniel. With Daniel comes his good friend Chaos. The peaceful day that Max planned for Ae-ra was turned upside down, but Ae-ra didn't seem to mind. Max was surprised at how easily she got along with Daniel. Actually he wasn't surprised. Who doesn't like Ae-ra?
Max turned towards Ae-ra. He admired the way her hair framed her face, how the light from the lamp hit her face just right. "You're beautiful."
His words made not only Ae-ra blush but himself too. "Sorry I didn't mean for that to be said out loud!" He let out a nervous chuckle. "I don't mind." She whispered so softly he almost thought he had imagined it.
Ae-ra then watched as he did that thing again. He looked from her eyes to her lips. She didn't even notice she did it too. But Max did. He didn't even notice how they were both leaning closer. And before anything could interrupt them again.
They kissed.
It was a gentle kiss that carried so much love and adoration.
Max was tired of holding back because of others. He was gonna do what makes him happy. And being with Ae-ra made him happy. It gave him peace he had never felt before. Screw the tabloids and twitter freaks. He and Ae-ra werw happy. They were happy with together.
I guess I wasn't delusional. Ae-ra thought.
When the two pulled away she was as red as a tomato. "If you'll excuse me I need to make a quick call." Max looked worried. Did I misinterprete everything?
"Don't worry. Lando just owes Daniel 12 bucks." Max pinch his brow like a dissapointed father would. "Why am I even surprised they made a bet?"
"For the record, Danny had the most faith in you. Lando thought we'd never get together."
"Get together you say?" Max gave her a cheeky smile as he leaned back into the couch. "Does that mean I can make it official?"
"Take me out on a proper date and then we can go from there."
