Chapter 51 - Nagasaki, a land of childhood memories

Kokonoi stood up and headed out of the room without a word, only to come back wearing joggers and holding a glass of warm chocolate milk, "here drink this" he said handing her the glass, "thank you" she gratefully accepted it and drank, Kokonoi just plopped down next to her and patiently waited for her to finish, "are you done? Do you feel better?" He questioned as he cleaned the milk mustache on top her lips.

Ino yawned again and looked at Kokonoi tiredly as he used his phone next to her, "don't worry go to bed alright, I'll be up for a while" he said giving her a chaste kiss on her lips, "are you sure, what are you doing?" She asked trying to look at his screen, "just some work, don't worry" he said showing her the phone "alright good night" she nodded snuggling into his side, "good night love" he smiled as she fell asleep.

Ino woke up to Kokonoi's arms wrapped loosely around her waist, "good morning" she greeted him, "good morning beautiful" he greeted groggily as he sat up and stretched, "do you think Takeomi came back yesterday?" Ino questioned, "yeah he did, he even came to check on you later in the night" Kokonoi informed standing up, "really?" She said in surprise, "yes but you were knocked out" he said winking at her, "well it was your fault" she pouted, "you're right maybe I should take responsibility" he said playfully, "you should" she nodded, "and how would I do that?" He questioned walking closer to her, "figure it out yourself" she said sassily, "oh love the attitude" he said sarcastically as he sat next to her, slowly they leaned into a heated kiss.

Kokonoi's hands travelled up Ino's thighs determined to take off her clothes, if not for the sudden knock at the door interrupting them "I know you aren't about to get freaky this early in the morning" Takeomi said matter-of-factly, Kokonoi groaned and went to open the door, "as if you're one to talk, my room is right next to Ino's you think I didn't hear part of what you were doing the other morning" Kokonoi scoffed, "can you guys stop" Ino whined as her cheeks burned from embarrassment.

The two men laughed at Ino's state and got to talking about their schedule for the day as Ino went to clean herself up, "okay that's doable" Takeomi agreed "what about last night, is everything settled?" Kokonoi asked "yeah it's all taken care of" Takeomi nodded.

When the three had breakfast and got dressed they headed out, "do you know the way to your grandmother's house?" Takeomi questioned, "yeah it's not too far from my highschool" Ino nodded, the atmosphere of the drive was lighter than yesterday "that was my former highschool" Ino said 'where I met Abi' she gulped pointing to the building as they drove by "that's where out local hospital" she said 'where Gran almost died' pointing to another building, 'and that's were I commited my first murder' she thought, her intrusive thoughts were taking over.

"Are you alright?" Takeomi asked in concern, "yeah, her house is the first down the street on the right" she informed Takeomi who nodded and took the directions, "it's going to be okay don't worry" Kokonoi said calmly.

Takeomi pulled up by the side of the road, "are you ready to go?" Kokonoi asked, Ino just silently stared at the duplex in front of her, was she truly ready to face her grandmother? Did she really want to know the truth? "Remember we're here for you, and even if you don't want to do this we can turn around" Kokonoi suggested, Ino just shook her head and took a deep breath, "I'll do it, we're already here and I want to know what happened" she said calmly as she opened the door.
