Tomorrow is my birthday. My 17th. As I have mentioned numerous times, I don't celebrate my birthday. Im not a big fan of it for...reasons. Honestly, I don't like talking about it because memories haunt me from that horrible day that I don't even remember. The sun arises and I find myself cuddling my pillow. I rub my eyes and sit on my bed and do my makeup, waiting for the boys to wake up. Elton was passed out on the bed at the back of the RV, laptop next to him with his limbs sprawled out on the bed. I look over to see Corey is already up and in the passenger seat, talking on the phone to someone. He turns his head as if on cue to look at me. He gives me a smile and hands the phone to me. "Hello?" I question as I put the phone to my ear. A familiar voice rings though the phone and I instantly recognise it. "Hey Jules."

"Hey Devyn, how have you been?" I ask, curling up to talk to my sister. "Im good, sucks without you here though." She says and a wave of sadness and homesick instantly washed over me, crashing down hard. "I miss you to." I say. Before I know it, we have been talking for half an hour, catching up on everything that has happened in New Zealand over the last couple of days. Elton remains asleep and I look at the time 8:00am. "Colby, can you make sure there is no phone or laptop on his bed? Also, can you grab my pillows and pile them on the opening so he cant fall out?" He nods with a questioning eyebrow and turns around to do what I tell him. Its been awhile but I think I can do it. He sits down and Sam remains where he was, in the passenger seat, chilling, listening to music. Sam and Corey must have swapped from the last time I looked up from the book I am reading. Colby and Corey sit down and watch me as I head out of the door. I open the drivers door and jump in. Hands on the steering wheel, I start to drive. Hy heart is racing at a million miles per hour as Sam looks at me as we start to move, worried and scared. I roll my eyes at his irrational fear and we head off. I easily become familiar with the gears and driving on the wrong side of the road. After a few minutes of driving, I look at Colby and Corey in the review mirror and see them clutching onto the seats even though I'm driving smoothly. Once they know that I can drive nicely they become comfortable, walking around to get food and to get other items from around the RV. Sam and I plug the aux cord into our phones and sing along to Location by Khalid. Colby and Corey join in as we make our way along the freeway. When we take a break from singing, we start to hear Elton roll around. We turn the music off and he then starts freaking out because we are moving and he isn't driving. Its been an hour and a half into the drive and we still have half an hour of the drive left. My window is open, forcing my hair to fly around in the pony tail. Elton comes up behind me, gripping onto the chair tightly. "Your driving?" He asks, staring at the road ahead of us. "No Elton, I'm running a marathon! Yes, Im driving" I say, snickering. Sam and Elton both laugh with me and he gives my shoulder a light pat, hinting a thank you. I take one of my hands off the steering wheel and onto his hand saying "Of course."

We stop at number 4 on the map, showing bright colours of nature around us even though grey clouds hang over. "It looks like its going to rain." Sam says when we make it up this small hill. I laugh at his comment and look over at the bay. "Nah, cant you see how clear the sky is?" I ask, glaring my eyes and putting my hand up to my eyebrows, acting as is I was looking for something in a far off distance. We continue on the walk, today was supposed to be a chilled day, adventuring to a beach with caves and stuff. We walk for what feels like forever, rocks from the pathway crunching underfoot as we make our way there. We mostly walk down, other people passing us every so often. "You should tell them Jules." Colby says to me from behind me when he catches up. We are slightly behind the others so they cant hear us.
