The night was peaceful when we fell asleep that night. The moonlight broke through the window.

The sight of the sun meant the day was over. It was great. The sadness wasn't fully over because it still hurt to think about them but my parents wouldn't want me to stew on the past. I couldn't help but sit up with a smile on my face. We just joked around last night about the ducks until we found our way to the next stop on this crazy trip. We didn't actually have to be there until this afternoon so we decided to have a beach day.

I found the black swimsuit I had bought before the trip at the bottom of my bag. I got changed in the public restrooms, putting a pair of denim shorts on when I was ready.

I walk out of the bathroom with my hair is a messy bun and my ray bands on my head, ready to be pulled down when it got too sunny. I walk back to the RV and couldn't help but feel a few pairs of eyes on me. I shook it off and walked to the guys who were in their board shorts, ready to go swimming. I grabbed my back with my phone, laptop, towel, water bottle and my novel. We all walked to the beach, our toes coming into contact with the soft sand under us. Lucky, it was a really hot day in New Zealand so the sand was warm but not to hot, unlike the sun. We set our stuff down on the sand and I layed down on my towel, hoping for a little bit of a tan. I grabbed my book out of my bag and opened it to the page I as on, bringing my sunglasses down so I wouldn't have to squint at the hot sun. The feeling of being watched didn't leave me the entire time I was reading. "We are going for a swim. Want to come Jules?" Elton asks. It takes me a second to think about  it before I shake my head. "Nah, I think I'll just stay here and continue read." I finish, turning over so I'm lying on my back. "Suit yourself!" They say whilst sprinting off towards the ocean. There were a handful of people here but it wasn't crowded which I was thankful for.

After 10 minutes, the eyes were still on me. No matter how much I tried to push the feeling away, it wouldn't go. It was almost like a burning sensation. I slowly tilt my head to see a group of guys staring at me. The same guys from when I was walking out of the bathroom. They don't look much older then me but they are sitting in a circle not to far away, talking and staring at me. I choose to ignore it and continue to read. The feeling doesn't leave me so I decide to sit up and put sun cream on. It's cool on my skin and feels refreshing. I wipe my hands off on my towel and pick up my phone. I slide it into my book so it's covering it. I'm not trying to hide it, I just want to see if I get a reply then will continue to read.
