Chapter 46: Christmas. Part 1

       

It was a late morning when I woke up and it was christmas. I loved christmas because I loved to watch other people open gifts. I didn't wake up in such a good mood this morning. I was sad. My christmas wish was for everything to be ok. For Colby to be ok. I went downstairs after feeding Rose and then grabbed myself some of the pancakes that were left over from everyone else having them this morning. I heard a bunch of talking from the living room so I walked in to find the whole house here. Except Colby. I tried not to let my sadness show so I sat down with everyone whilst they gave out their gifts. We had a heap under our tree, one from each person to another in the house, besides Sam and Kat as well as Corey and Devyn and Elton and Amanda. There was no gifts from Colby because he was stuck in the coma at the dark hospital but there were gifts for him. It was sweet that we all did that without thinking about it or telling anyone. We went around in a circle after handing out the presents, opening them one by one while the blue eyes boys presents lay lonely under the tree. It was my turn. I opened mine from Corey and Devyn and it was a family photo, make up and some Lush items because Devyn knew I loved baths. I then opened mine from Sam and Kat. It was a some really cute stationary, throw pillows and small room decorations and a few gift vouchers to my favourite store. I opened Aarons gift. It was a harness for Rose since she had been growing out of hers and a huge neon sign that wrote: 'Juliet' In cursive with a heart off the end of the 't' I had another present in my lap. The tag wrote 'To Juliet, Love From Sam and Colby'. "Sam, you already gave me a gift. What is this?" I ask hesitantly before he smiles. "You are our sister so we agreed on getting you this awhile back." It is a soft mint coloured record player with my favourite albums on vynals. I give them all hugs before running upstairs and getting ready for the day. I had one thing I wanted to so today and I wasn't changing my plans for anything. I put some records into my backpack with the presents for Colby from everyone. I had my record player in my hand (It folded up and had a handle like a suit case) and headed out to my car after calling out to Sam I was going out for a bit. I looked at my phone when I got in my car and had a few missed messages. I drove to the hospital and walked into the room where Colby had been for the last month. I set up the record player with some songs he would like on and grabbed the presents from everyone out of my backpack, placing them with him on a table on wheels. I sung a little to him while holding this hand. "I know I'm not the best person ever. But please bring me my brother back." I whisper while looking up. A soft tear falls down my cheek before a loud beeping echo's through the hospital room. A nurse walks in. "Ma'am, you're going to have to leave." She says, a rushed tone while pushing me back towards the door. Its still 11:00am so I'm not fully functioning yet since I woke up an hour ago so I don't fight back. I am out of the room while calling Sam. "Sam, something is wrong at the hospital. Get here now!" I scream through the phone before hanging up. I text Landon quickly:

J - Juliet

J - I need you.

Before I know it, there are nurses rushing in and out of his room and the guys are standing next to me. Sam has me in a hug and Landon is reassuringly rubbing my back before the nurse opens the door with a smile going from cheek to cheek. "You can come in now."

There he is. Colby. Awake. Alive. It was the christmas miracle I had hoped for.

YAY! Colby is ok! I hope you all have a merry christmas and a happy new year (If you celebrate) I decided to post this early so you can read this on christmas because I thought it would be a gift for your guys. I hope you all stay safe and start the new year on a great note.
