Every news headline which precedes with
"The first woman..."
isn't just another victory,
Leaving a legacy
she sows her seeds
for the future generations to reap
breaking one glass ceiling at a time.
Big deal!
She climbed the corporate ladder too
But her steps were broken,
She finished the race too
but she ran barefoot,
She got a degree too
but with a wailing baby in her arms,
She made a film too
but also making breakfast for her son at home,
She became an entrepreneur too
but her investors still praise her male MD.
She reached heights
but millions of unfulfilled dreams say otherwise.
The destination is the same
but the path she took wasn't just
two roads diverging into a wood,
it was a maze and a
blindfolded race.
