Someday when I see you
in a supermarket aisle or
a crowded restaurant
when we finally meet
pardon me if I forget to smile
don't mistake me if I keep staring at you
because I've spent many nights
thinking about this moment
how our rendezvous would be
unplanned and unprepared.
Like in a broken time machine
I keep going back to this
imaginary moment in my head
yet when the day comes
when reality meets desire
the timelines collapse
like a glitch in the matrix
and we are together
in a bound physical space again,
and that day
a melody shall be heard
the multiverse will align
and sing my verse.
