Xander POV

In the words of Michael Jordon "there is no "i" in team but there is in win" and that's what I, Xander Montgomery, have known my whole life. I was born to win and anyone that tried to put me down needed to be dealt with immediately. I learnt early on that when it came to enemies you need to hit head on with no mercy and after what Aria did on my birthday I wasn't going to let her off that easy. She'd have to pay big time.

At times like these my mind wanders to when I was a kid and didn't know much about this feud between our families. Only hearing my dad swearing under his breath whenever hearing the Rockwell name other than that I was clueless to the whole story.

My first day of kindergarten I made a friend, a girl in-fact, from a distance I noticed her wearing a bright red sundress with ribbon in her hair and red shoes. I liked her that very instant. I nervously went up to her and asked if she wanted to play to my delight she smiled and nodded and we ran and played together the whole day. The teacher thought we were so cute together that she decided to tell our parents when they came to pick us up but this didn't make them happy as the new friend I made was none other than Aria Rockwell. Aria's dad grabbed her in his arms giving my dad a dirty look and took her away.

"Why was Aria's dad angry?" I asked my dad on the way home in the car.

"Because he isn't a nice man and neither is his daughter Aria you are to stay away from her. Their whole family is filled with vile people" my dad spat

"Xavier he's just a kid" my mom said "he doesn't need to know these things now"

"What are you saying? He became friends with Ashton Rockwell's daughter his first day of kindergarten if I don't stop this now some day he might marry the girl" my dad felt like he was going to gag just at the thought of it.

"Ok atleast just wait till we're home" my mom pleaded. My dad listened to her but as soon as I was home he sat me down on an ottoman in the living room while he stood above me.

"Son, what have I always told you about being a Montgomery?" He asked

"Montgomery before anything" I answered

"That's right the family comes first" he said kneeling down in front of me "and what if I told you the family had an enemy we all need to face together?"

"Who is it daddy?"

"It's the Rockwells, they can never be our friends since the time of you're great-grandfather the Rockwells have tried to take away what we hold dear, our respect" my dad explained "remember last summer when daddy slipped on something and ended up covered in red paint?" He asked to which I nodded "that was Aria's dad. He did that to me and do you know what I did to get him back son?"

"No"

"I sent his office a box containing a hundred mice" he replied to which I laughed "that's right son. That is the only relationship we have with the Rockwell's and that is of revenge"

"Xander!" Dave calling me brought me out of my thoughts "we're going to be late. Come on the couch is waiting for us at the field"

I was currently changing into my football gear in the locker room quickly putting my helmet on I threw my bag into the locker and made my way to the football field. I looked down at my watch, only one more hour Aria and my sweet revenge will be complete I thought smiling to myself.

"Uh oh" Dave said noticing my happy demeanour "I know that smile well what have you planned"

"Oh I have something big in store for her. Let's just say Aria Rockwell will soon be tasting her own medicine" I smiled gleefully just thinking of it.
