ㅤ"𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔'𝐑𝐄 𝐆𝐎𝐍𝐍𝐀 𝐁𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐄?" Tony Stark asked his first born, watching as she placed all her belongings inside the trunk of her black Audi A4, his gift to her for her sixteenth birthday.

Maria chuckled. "I'll be fine, dad."

Born Maria Ayutthaya-Stark, Maria is the sole heir to Stark Industries. After her mother, Pranpriya, an immigrant from Thailand, died giving birth to her, she was immediately taken to her biological father. Despite Tony not even knowing he'd gotten someone knocked up, he took her in with open arms. Just a single look into Maria's eyes, he knew that she was his; they have identical eyes. Because her mother didn't have enough time to give her a name, Tony decided to name her Maria, after her paternal grandmother.

Maria grew up without the public even knowing she existed, which her father insisted on, wanting her to grow up like a normal kid without having anyone following her around. Due to this, she and her father would often hangout inside, and away from prying eyes. It wasn't ideal, but Maria was smart just like her dad; she knew it was for the best.

Now, she was seventeen years old, and is using her mother's maiden name to hide her real identity. Especially after her father got kidnapped and was forced to build a bomb. For her safety, she and her father decided to let her live with one of their close family friends: Victoria Jarvis, Edwin Jarvis' daughter.

Maria calls her Aunt Vic.

"I'm gonna miss you, kiddo," Tony admitted, smiling sadly as he pulled her into his arms. Just like she did when she was little, she pressed her face right in his chest, ignoring the slightly cold metal of the arc reactor.

Releasing from the tight hug, she smiled. "I'm gonna miss you too, papa bear. But don't worry, I'm gonna call as soon as I arrive."

"It's a nineteen hour drive, Mia," he sighed. "You sure you don't wanna take the plane?"

"Dad, there's only so many times I'm given the opportunity to drive on my own," she teased. "Plus, I'm an insomniac who just drank four cups of coffee; I won't be falling asleep anytime soon."

Tony snorted, putting a hand on her head and began to mess up her hair, ignoring her protests. "You're too much like me, I'm not sure I like it. Anyway, you promise you'll call?"

"I promise, dad," she reassured once she successfully swatted her father's hand away. "Love you."

"Love you too."

She gave him one last smile before she jumped into her car and started the engine. She rolled down her window once she was done checking her windows and gave her father one last wave before driving off.

Forks, here I come, she thought to herself. Nineteen hours to go.
