Chapter 1

3rd person POV:

It was a sunny Monday morning. The roads of Mumbai city were filled with traffic as usual. In the midst of the screeching vehicle horns sat a young adult with curly hair and hazel brown eyes inside a black car. His name was Sumedh Vasudev Mudgalkar. He had almost reached his destination, The Swastik Production house, when suddenly his attention fell on an auto that was beside his car or more precisely the two ladies sitting inside the auto.

Sumedh's eyes fell on the younger of the two ladies . She had flowing black hair that was pulled into a loose ponytail and her brown eyes were fixed on a bunch of papers. She wore a simple white t-shirt and blue jeans but still managed to look elegant and beautiful in his vision. For a moment he became lost in the memories of a friend whom he hadn't met in years. Suddenly, the loud horn of a bus behind him brought him back to reality, but by then the auto had disappeared and so was the girl.

At Swastik Productions:

The two ladies got down from the auto and paid the driver. The older lady held her daughter's hand and said, " Don't worry Mallika. Everything will be fine. Just take deep breaths and recite your lines with confidence. Remember that I will always support you no matter what happens."

The girl, Mallika looked at her mom and squeezed her hand saying, " Thanks mom. I just hope that I do well in this audition. It's a very big opportunity and I don't want to miss it." Both of them smiled at each other and Mallika went inside the building with renewed confidence.

Sumedh's POV:

I reached the production house and quickly dashed to the lift. I was already late by fifteen minutes and I didn't want to create a bad impression of myself on the very first day itself. I had been selected to play the role of Krishna in Swastik productions new magnum opus 'RadhaKrishn'. Siddharth sir, the CEO of Swastik productions, had called me a month back and asked me to give audition for a negative character in his new show. But after my audition he felt that I would be perfect for the role of Krishna and so here I am today to discuss my character and also see the ongoing auditions for the role of Radha.

I entered the lift and pressed the floor button when I saw a girl running towards the lift. I held my had at the lift entrance to allow her to come inside. She said thank you and my eyes met the owner of the voice.

The next second my breath hitched and I couldn't take my eyes of the person who said the words.

She had soft brown eyes and her fringes were dancing on her forehead. Her cheeks had a faint blush due to the running that made her look damn cute and a pair of star earrings dangled from her ears.

She was the same girl I had seen in the auto. She was the same friend I hadn't seen in years. She was the same person whose face I could identify anywhere in a crowd. She was the same girl with whom I had parted on bad terms years back. But right now she is in front of me again.

I snapped out of my thoughts and finally breathed, "Mallika."
