It felt endless.
You repeatedly told the girl everything would be okay, but every time she denied it.
"Everyone is gone. The entire village. Even though mama's legs were bad, they knew. And no one came to help her. All I was able to do was watch." She said with dull and lifeless eyes.
You looked at her sympathetically. The poor thing had been through so much and in just a day. Who knows what else had happened.
Eventually you came to the bridge once more. Stopping you began to think.
You picked up the small girl and lifted her up and over the bridge. You climbing after her. Sasha got up as well, the titan still trailing behind you three.
"Don't look back! Just keep going!" She yelled.
Sasha muttered to herself repeatedly, "it's gonna be okay."
The running continued. For quite some time.
The titan was getting closer and closer. Noticing, you picked up speed.
