The Demon King - A Pertemis Story (Book 1)

The Brother of the Hunt.

Percy POV:

It has been over 2 months here. Some of the hunters are finally warming up to me. But some like Phoebe and Atlanta do their best to make me leave. I constantly get pranked but I never say anything to Artemis or Thalia. But today, I snapped.

The hunters had me tied to a rope. I am currently upside down while they laugh at me. I was okay with it. I just burned the rope and got down. I went to sharpen the arrows. After I sharpen the arrows, I walked to Artemis's tent. But on the way I got chased my a hoard of stags. I ran to the cliff and looked behind me. I then jumped off.

Artemis POV

Where is Percy? I went out to search for him when I found him jumping off a cliff because he was chased by stags. I sobbed. What had my hunters done? Do they have no shame?

"Hunters!" I screamed

"Yes milady?" They asked innocently except for some who were confused like Thalia.

"How dare you kill the most decent man on Earth?!" I screamed at them

Thalia picked it up and her eyes glowed dark blue.

"What is this Atlanta?" she growled

"I-i- uh... we might had asked the stags to chase him. But we didnt know he would jump off!" She protested

She immediately got blasted by lightning.

"Yeah, and anyways he is just an ordinary male. Why do you care?" Phoebe asked

Thalia looked as if she wanted to scream at her, but before she got the chance, someone spoke in a cold voice. It was non other than Percy Jackson, The Demon King, in front of us. How do I know? Because his eyes are red.

"No need to worry about me Phoebe" He spat coldly

"Boy, watch how you talk with Phoeb-" Atlanta said before getting blasted back

"You want to have fun? Have fun? I'd enjoy killing you." He said in a tone that sent shivers behind my back

"Percy, you cant kil-" I said before getting interupted

"You do not command me. You command Percy Jackson. I am the Demon King. And it was your hunters who made it into this." He spat

My eyes widened

"You are in my mercy. For months and months I endured the pranks, everything. Do not think just because of my kind nature I will not snap. I have reached my limit. You all are going to die  today. " He said coldly

"Percy, why did you not tell me abou-" Thalia said before getting interupted

"Thalia Grace. You will not talk a word" He said

She shut up. I have to admit, Percy is more terrifying than Thalia when he is angry.

"I will give you one chance to redeem yourselves. Since here, now, until you redeem yourselves, I will remain as the Demon King. Remember, one wrong move, you will lose a head in seconds. I will only remain Percy Jackson to Artemis and Thalia. Do not expect me to be kind to you until you redeem yourselves." He spat coldly

I was slightly mad at him for threatening my hunters, but I have to admit, they deserved it. I was slightly happy because he remained Percy Jackson to me. He stormed into our tent. Yes, I fully considered it as his and mine.

"Now girls. What have you done?" I said sternly

"We only pranked him! It wasn't that serious!" Atlanta winced and protested

"And the last prank to make him snap was to make him jump off a cliff and you tell me thats not serious?" I retorted

They murmered agreements that it was serious

"How are we going to make him back to Percy Jackson to us?" Phoebe asked desperate to redeem herself and those that participated

"I do not know. Maybe be kind to him or something?" I asked

"Milady! I got it! You ask him to remain Percy Jackson to us." Atlanta said

"You are the one who should apologiz-" Thalia snarled before getting interupted by me

"I'll try Atlanta, but I wouldn't go to disturb him right now. He is in a rage state. Even I, would not dare fight him in his rage mode. You all should be glad he gave mercy." I answered

They immediately paled. No one knew the true depth of Percy's power. Even the youngest hunters sensed he was holding back incredible power that could wipe out Earth in a single wave. That means he was holding back so much even the youngest, inexperienced hunters could sense it. 

Percy POV

Ugh! Those nerves of the Hunters. How dare they? I fumed in Artemis's tent. I could just blast them all right now, right this moment. For a scary moment, I found myself agreeing to blast them. I was currently almost beyond rage. But I controlled my anger and stopped fuming. I sighed. Artemis came into the tent. I grumbled and said

"Artemis, what do you want?" I asked

"Can you please be Percy Jackson to them again?" She begged

"No." I replied

"Aw, pretty please~?" She asked with a puppy dog face

I grumbled and said fine because of my soft spot for her. 

"Yay!" She exclaimed and I just rolled my eyes

"Your annoying gods" I said

She rolled her eyes and said: "Sore loser?"

I just rolled my eyes and said "Please go out now. When it is dinner time tell me. I will go and summon food."

"Alright, alright" she grumbled and went out of the tent. I immediately collapsed on my bed.

Artemis POV

Yay! I'll have to tell the hunters! Though I might of sorta annoyed him. What? It was fun.  I found my Hunters depressed. 

"Why so glum girls?" I asked

"Well, except for the fact that Percy ain't gonna be Percy anymore and we are likely to die, nothing" Atlanta said

I laughed. My hunters looked at me as if I was crazy.

"Well, he already forgave you. Cuz I kinda asked him to. I had to use my puppy dog face though." I said chuckling at the memory

Thalia laughed and said "Well, he certainly has a soft spot for you does he not?" she teased

I was pretty sure I was blushing "Thalia! Kitchen duty" I said

Percy came out and asked "What is all this commotion?"

"Uh nothing" I covered up

He hesitantly looked at Phoebe who was looking at him. 

"Group hug!" Phoebe suddenly shouted and all the hunters jumped on Percy. It was quite amusing to see The Oh So Great Percy Jackson getting trampled by my hunters. 

"Alright, alright! Girls, get down! Aurg! I can't breathe!" He yelled

I eventually got the Hunters off of him.

"So? Is it time for dinner?" He asked

"Yup." I said

We went to the dining pavilion. He summoned our orders and summon his own food and went off in another direction. I was about to call him when Atlanta did

"Percy? Why are you not sitting here?" Atlanta asked

"Because I'm not a hunter?" He said

"You might not be a hunter, but you are the Brother of the hunt. So come here and sit down" Phoebe said

I have to admit, I was proud of my hunters. Percy had a look of shock on his face but still sat beside Atlanta.

The Demon King is now the Brother of the Hunt.
