Looking up, I gasped in shock. "A-Adonis!" I exclaimed. The dance was unpaused. It was without interruption. We danced as if there had been no partner swap at all.

The raven haired man chuckled. "Surprised?" He teased. "I may have changed our places while you weren't looking," he said, his eyes trailing over to where he previously stood. I followed his gaze. There was Kimaris. Right where Adonis had been.

My eyes returned to my current dance partner. "H-how did you-?" Too dumbfounded to speak, I couldn't even finish my sentence.

He let out a quiet laugh. "Just another small trick up my sleeve," he answered in a joking tone. His bright grin gleamed in the lights filling the room.

I quirked a brow at him. "How many of these "tricks" do you have?" I giggled, smiling up at him. Our dance continued and somehow it soon felt like we were the only ones there.

He looked up in thought as he hummed. He quickly looked back down at me, smirking. "Why spoil any surprises?" He chuckled. I rolled my eyes as I couldn't help but let my smile widen.

In comparison to my earlier partner, Kimaris, Adonis' suit contrasted heavily against my dress. The red of his eyes also seemed to glow against the black edges of his mask. It made it almost impossible to look away from them. I think that fact made him a little proud, as he was smirking brightly.

Spinning around the room with the dance, the radiant red of his eyes really did look like they were glowing. It was entrancing. Sometimes I forgot how beautiful he was. Even with a mask on his face, it was quite easy to see.

I subconsciously leaned into him. I never wanted this to end. My eyes widened at the thought. "Let this be forever." That's what I said before. When I was Solanine... I couldn't help myself now. "Let this be forever," I mumbled as my head laid on Adonis' chest.

From what I could tell, he was unfazed. "It can be." I smiled, knowing those were his exact words then. "Soon, my love," he whispered into my ear. Feeling his breath against my skin and his words made me blush deeply.

I bit my lip as they spread into a grin. This feeling he gave me. I couldn't explain what it was, for I've never had it before. No one had ever made me feel this way. No one had ever made me feel so happy, so relaxed, so... loved. I wonder...

I stared at myself in my vanity. I was stood in front of it and my palms were heavily placed on the tabletop. Unfortunately, the masquerade had come to an end. The guests had left and the rest of us retired to our rooms for the night. I'd changed out of my dress, gloves, and mask. Now I was just in my nightgown.

I took a deep breath. I watched as my shoulders moved up and down in the mirror, in sync with my breaths. I hadn't been able to sleep and there was a single thought in my mind. Maybe that thought was the reason I hadn't been able to sleep. No. It absolutely was.

I bit my lip before running a hand through my hair. It didn't take long before I gave in and left my room. I speed-walked down the hall. I knew exactly where I was going. I didn't wait to catch my breath when I reached my destination and knocked on the door.

Huffing after there was no response, I knocked again, louder. I played with my fingers and bit my lip in anticipation. Luckily, the door opened a second later. I gaped at him. From his undone hair to his nearly naked torso where an unbuttoned shirt barely covered him, he was not only handsome, but also alluring.

He quirked a brow at me as he lowered his head to see me. "Mora, are you alright?" He asked worriedly.

My hands reached up and gently grabbed his face. He seemed a little surprised by my actions. "Adonis," I muttered breathlessly. My face was on fire and my eyes were half-lidded, but it wouldn't stop me.

He opened his mouth to speak, but my lips found their way to his. No, I pushed my lips against his. I closed my eyes and slid one of my hands into his hair.

He took a step back as I leaned against him. He kissed me back, just as passionate, if not more. His hands wrapped around my waist. I pulled away to take a breath. I stared into his crimson eyes. The eyes that seemed to capture me in a trance every time I looked into them.

One of his hands went to my face and pulled a strand of hair behind my ear. He was looking at me so endearingly. "Mora, you don't have to do anything you don't want to," he reassured me.

My heart ached. I couldn't help but place another, smaller kiss on his lips again. "I know," I replied. I kissed him again.

We stumbled into his room and he gently kicked the door closed. I laughed against him. Tumbling further into the room, the kiss deepened. I opened my mouth and moments later, I felt his tongue slip into my mouth. I was breathless. This wasn't something I'd ever done before.

I let him take the lead as we tried not to trip on our way to his bed. We did fall onto it, which caused me to laugh loudly. I grinned as I looked back up him, as he was laying below me.

He looked so affectionate. He pulled hair away from my face before slowly returning his lips to mine. "Do you want to do this?" He whispered huskily against my mouth.

I panted. "Yes," I answered breathlessly. My hand trailed to his uncovered warm chest, dragging it up and down across his torso. He placed a final tender kiss to my lips before trailing down my jaw and to my neck. I gasped at the feeling, grabbing onto the edge of his shirt.

I bit my lip to subside any sounds as he reached the base of my neck. "Adonis," I sighed in delight. He chuckled against my skin. He remained in that same spot after that. He sucked and kissed at it. I held my breath before I had to gasp for air.

He entangled his hand with mine, entwining our fingers. "Don't hold back," he said softly. I let out a shaky breath as he continued with his tender kisses. I clenched my hand around his and brought them closer to my chest.

I let out a moan of pleasure and my toes curled. I slowly pulled his hand to my face. I placed a kiss on each of his knuckles. He gradually moved lower until he was at my collarbone. I let more small noises leave me and he chuckled again.

We rolled over so that he was above me. I panted as I looked up at him. He smiled at me reassuringly. He slowly took the strap of my dress in between his fingers and began peeling it off of my shoulder. My breath hitched and he stopped. I smiled at him and nodded.

I pulled him closer to me before he could continue. His lips were brushing against mine. "I love you," I whispered. Then I kissed him. Of course, he kissed back passionately.
