DEC XX FRIDAY 2:52 p.m.

Kaveh was the one to break the silence on their way to Mondstadt City. "You've been awfully quiet this whole time. What's going on?" He didn't know if it was a wise choice or not to ask the question, though it was too late since he spoke before thinking. There was a fifty-fifty shot to receive the most sarcastic comment or a very short, snarky and cold reply. The only reason he was asking this question was because he had yet to receive one insult or 'threat' from Alhaitham.

Alhaitham let out an unusually loud exasperated sigh, using one hand to rub the bridge of his nose. He glanced down at his phone while doing so, seeing as the phone remained quiet and dark. "It's nothing."

"That's the most bullshit answer I have ever heard in my life." Kaveh crossed his arms at the answer, making Alhaitham quickly glance over at him. His eyes narrowed, but Kaveh was unfazed by it. He was already used to all of the glares he had received in the past. Surely Alhaitham didn't have a glare that Kaveh had never witnessed.

"And what's it to you?" The grey haired male said in a snappy tone, Kaveh scoffing in response. Alhaitham was starting to realize the blond next to him was not going to leave him alone on the matter unless he spoke a tiny bit of it. Which was quite normal, but Alhaitham loved making his roommate as pissed off as he could before he actually said anything reasonable.

"It's just a matter of a question. More or less like a theory in conclusion, or coming to a conclusion. Understanding is quite a difficult concept, don't you think? Some things are just easy to understand, like your temperament and your tolerance towards me. Yet, it's quite interesting and unsettling to not be able to understand something, or even a person." Alhaitham took a small breath, but before he could finish his essay, Kaveh's laughter had erupted in the car.

Kaveh had a hand to his stomach with a wide smile on his face, eyes shut tight and laughing away like it seemed there was no tomorrow. Anytime Alhaitham went on these rants, it was about either the stupidest or most complex thing Kaveh had ever heard. He knew very well how cold of a glare he must have been receiving, but he couldn't help but not to laugh at the grey haired male.

Alhaitham could feel the tip of his ears burn ever so slightly at his sudden remark, his grip tightening at the steering wheel at being laughed at by his stupid roommate. "You know what, just forget I even said anything."

Kaveh had finished laughing about a minute after Alhaitham's rant, the walls of his stomach aching from how hard he was laughing. He wiped away a few hanging tears from the corners of his eyes, a small playful smile remaining on his face. "Did I just hear the almighty man come to the conclusion of not being able to understand something? Did I hear that correctly?"

"I said just forget about it." Alhaitham firmly said with a sharp tone of voice, yet it had no effect on Kaveh.

"How can I forget about something that you seem to have a whole essay upon? Hmm?" Kaveh propped his elbow up on the center console, resting his chin on the palm of his hand while looking straight at Alhaitham. It was a swift action, but Alhaitham forcefully knocked into Kaveh's elbow, causing Kaveh having to catch himself before he got choked by the seat belt.

Before Kaveh could say a snarky remark in return, the sound of someone's phone broke into their conversation. Alhaitham could feel his heart drop to the bottom of his stomach as his eyes quickly landed on his phone, snatching the phone right up and silencing it immediately. His tongue clicked loudly in regards to the phone call, Kaveh's eyebrow raising in interest.

"And who was–" He cut himself off mid sentence as Alhaitham turned to look at him slowly, his eyes filled with daggers staring directly into Kaveh's own eyes. He felt himself sink into the car seat, looking back straight ahead and praying to the gods for his safe arrival to their destination.
