Violence and Blood Warning ⚠️
———————————————————————————

      It was done.

      It was finally done.

(Y/N) couldn't the tears that fell down her eyes as she buried her face into her hands.

All the pain and grief she had to work through, all the struggles to understand what she was forced to become, the build to this very moment wasn't how she expected it. She was so determined, so focused on getting revenge for those she lost. Even though she's not the one to finally put an end to a life that caused so much destruction and bloodshed, it still felt like a massive weight was removed from her shoulders. She didn't know where the grieving mother took the leader but she hoped that she made Zankora's as long and excruciating as possible.

Just like the deaths of her parents. She didn't deserve something quick and painless.

A hand moved over her shoulder as (Y/N) sniffled back her tears. B comforted her, knowing how much this moment means to her. But they needed to go. More Elitists can show up and they were all already so battered.

B may not have injuries like Dog and (Y/N)'s but her eyes were so strained that she had trouble seeing clearly. The overuse made her slightly blinded.

"We need to go." She muttered and patted (Y/N)'s shoulder. "We need to find the team and get to safety. They can handle the rest."

Dog trudged up to them while holding a hand on his bleeding shoulder and arm. He was walking but when (Y/N) saw this, she immediately felt guilt for accidentally stabbing her friend. "I'm so sorry..."

"It's ok." The spider demon muttered and tried to ignore the pain in his shoulder working to heal itself. "It wasn't your fault..."

Dog's radio clicked on B's belt once more. She grabbed it and hit the answer button as her father's voice came through. "Blythe? Dog? Are either of you there?"

"I'm here, Dad." B answered as she could hear gunshots in the background and her Godfather shouting orders. She felt relieved to hear him but the shooting did concern her and the two demons. "I'm still with Dog and we managed to find (Y/N). We're all safe."

"Good. Just tell me where you are and we'll come get you! And stay put this time! That's an order." Jules spoke which made his daughter want to roll her eyes. "Cafeteria, first floor toward the West end of the building. Get here soon."

As the radio clicked off, (Y/N) glanced back toward the tarp that her partner had gone through to chase after Bodhi. Without a word, she turned and started walking toward it, her pace getting faster by the second.

"Wait! Where are you going?" B called. They were supposed to stay here until the team came.

But (Y/N) didn't stop and kept going. Ignoring her exhaustion and her body's demand for rest. "I gotta find Yama. I'm not leaving without him."

Splitting up now was just as dangerous as before the war started. Maybe even more now. What if something happens to one that the others couldn't get to in time? Both Dog and B could understand (Y/N)'s need to find Yama and wouldn't stop her from it, but she was already so worn out and beaten that she could barely stand up straight.

"Just stay here and wait for the team." (Y/N) called back before she left through the tarp. "If I don't come back with Yama, bring them to us."

She wasn't going to wait for any protests from Dog and B. Her hand lifted the tarp and she went inside.
