Chapter 6

The nerves are high, Fiona's going to be here in a few minutes. I'm wearing an oversized hoodie and some jeans paired with a pair of black boots, today's weather is pretty cool so the outfit will help keep me warm.

I hear a car pull up in the driveway, grabbing my things before walking out the door.

"Hi"
I greet entering the car.

"Hey"

"How're you doing?"

"I'm good."

We remain silent for some time.

"Where exactly is the studio?"

"Behind the mall, east coast."

"That's really far from here."

"I know, but it'll be worth it."

After about an hour of driving, Fiona finally pulls up to a building.

"This is it, let's go in."
She says.

We head inside the building.

"Who owns the place?"

"My family does, we're all interested in music."

"Oh ok"

We continue walking until we arrive at a room, she leads me in. The room is filled with various instruments, there's guitars, violins, saxophones, a piano, trumpets and a drum set.

I walk over to the guitars and take one of the walls. Running my fingers against the strings, a nice rhythm is heard.

"Can I play?"
I question in small voice.

"Of course, that's why we came."

She walks to the piano, take a seat and then says,

"We should play something together"

"Ok, what should we play?"

"We could play Someday from Disney's Zombies"

"That's nice, I'll sing"

I know it might be crazy
But did you hear the story?
I think I heard it vaguely,
A girl and zombie.

Oh, tell me more boy
Sounds like a fantasy

God knows how long we continued playing until we head home.

"I'm glad you came today Kay"

"Thanks for inviting me"

Within about 45 minutes, we arrive at my house. As I highlight the car, wave goodbye to her and say,

"Thanks again, bye."

After unlocking the door I'm met with an empty house, closing the door behind myself then heading up to my room.

It's the night of Paul and Kate's anniversary party, I'm at the twins' because Lila wanted us to get ready together.

Since arriving here, there hasn't been a sighting of Luca. So while Lila's in the bathroom, I head to Luca's.
