The Alpha Has Captured My Heart Ch. 10

Anna’s P.O.V.

I saw the house and I knew that I was almost there. I got closer and closer to the house.

‘Is Matt getting old?’ I taunt.

‘Hell no! I’m right behind you.’ He says.

‘Am I going to win?’ I ask.

‘Like I would let that happen.’ He says.

I push myself further.

‘Better hurry or I’m going to win.’ I say.

The house was just in my view.

‘I’m going to find you Anna.’ I hear a voice say.

I was so shocked at what I just heard that I tripped and fell on the ground.

Matt ran past me, not even bothering to check up on me.

‘I know what you’re doing Anna and I’m not falling for it.’ He says.

He thought I fell on the ground on purpose just so that I could win the race.

Once when he arrived in front of the house, I saw he turned around. He must’ve realized that I had stopped following him. He ran back over to me.

‘Anna are you okay?’ He asks.

‘Now you notice?!’ I yell out.

‘I’m sorry.” He says quietly.

I close my eyes and shift into my human self. I open my eyes and I saw that he had shifted back too.

“Anna please talk to me.” He says.

I shake my head.

He sighs a little and he picks me up gently and he carries me back to the house.

We got into the house and Matt carries me upstairs and into his room. He places me on the bed.

“Does it hurt anywhere?” He asks.

“Yeah.” I reply.

“Where at?” He asks.

“Nowhere you asshole.” I snap.

He looks away.

“I fucking hate you Matt.” I say.

He nods his head. “Alright, if that’s how you feel.” He says.

He gets off the bed and he leaves the room closing the door quietly.

I sigh sadly. I get off the bed and headed downstairs. I saw Dylan sitting on the couch.

“Did you see Matt come by?” I ask.

“He went outside.” He says.

I nod my head and head towards the door. I open it but then the door gets closed by someone. I turn around to see Drake.

“Where do you think you’re going?” He asks.

“I’m going out to look for Matt.” I say.

I try to open up the door but then Drake shuts the door again.

“He wants to be alone Anna.” He says.

“I’m not going to be able to get passed you, am I?” I ask.

He shakes his head. “Just leave him alone, you’ll see him soon.” He says.

I sigh. “Alright I’m going to bed then.” I say.

I walk away from Drake and head upstairs. I went into Matt’s room, changed into my pajamas and then I got in bed.

I hear a door being shut. I sat up and I feel the bed shift.

“Matt?” I question.

“What Anna?” He asks.

“Are you mad at me?” I question.

He doesn’t say anything else, so I knew that was angry with me. I fell asleep then and I woke up in the middle of the night. I got out of the bed and walked out of the house. I shifted into my wolf and took off, hoping that this time, I can escape without Matt knowing.
